The Typhoon Islands

A fairly flat and tropical chain of islands off the coast of The Azure Ridge, this tropical location is home to many races and species and a vacation destination to many more. Pearly white beaches, clear blue waters and beautiful, lush, palm tree forests as far the eye can see. No place on Corumant is its equal.   Ruled by The Island Counsil, these islands are fully democratic and governed in a way that only works in these tight knit communities, where social exclusion is an almost greater punishment than what the justice system can come up with.   Time runs free here as the only people who seem to where watches are the few business owners. from late night beach bonfires with the whole community, to uninvited visits from neighbors, people tend to simply do what they seem fit and everyone seems to accept and forgive each other's transgressions.

Geography

large and uninterrupted, white sand beaches, crystal clear blue seas and palm tree forests and lagoons.

Ecosystem

The Typhoon Islands deserves its name during Bloom as the entire continent is clouded in heavy rainfall and winds, creating powerful typhoons. As the magically infused winds from the northeast hit the cold mountain air of The Azure Ridge, bend across the range and get infused by the hot southern winds from The Southern Strait, the clouds break and spill across The Typhoon Islands.   In winter, The Typhoon Islands are home to many migrating fauna, mainly birds and amphibious creatures, looking for the last sun rays of the year. Throughout the rest of the year, the local wildlife thrives in heat and relishes the times of damp and rainy weather.   Only Tropical flora survives these lands, and all but engulf every inch of the available space.

Ecosystem Cycles

The islands are mainly Tropical throughout Sunpeak and Fall, and a pleasantly mild temperature During Frostfall. The entire season of Bloom, the islands are in typhoon season. heavy rainfall and strong winds sweep the country and the locals mainly stay indoors. Tourism is all but halted.

Natural Resources

Palm oil and wood are the only natural resources the lands possesses, other than some small fisheries and its beauty, which is why the Islands live off of tourism.

Tourism

These islands are a tropical paradise for any who likes sunny vacations or tropical adventures.
