Skorstad
Perched on the southernmost lip of the island, Skorstad is built along treacherous cliffs that drop sharply into the sea below. The town itself is carved into the cliffside, with winding stone pathways, staircases, and birdes bridges connecting various structures. From its vantage point, the residents of Skorstad have an unbroken view of the vast ocean and are the first to spot approaching ships, whether friendly or hostile.
Many of the island’s warriors and hunters reside in Skorstad, as the surrounding cliffs provide the perfect hunting grounds for the massive seabirds that nest along the rock faces, and the steep topography of the town and startegically narrow and slippery paths is perfect for combat and endurance training. In times of conflict, Skorstad acts as a defensive stronghold, its high position making it difficult to attack but is a great vantage point for counterattacks of incoming fleets. It's location at the tip of the peninsula leading into the fjord in which Bosta lies, makes it a great first bastion in defending the island. At night, eerie lights can sometimes be seen dancing on the waters below—an unexplained phenomenon that the locals attribute to whispers from the deep.

Climate
The weather of Skorstad is perhaps what defines the locals' ill temperaments and lack of hospitality, as it seems to never let the inhabitants enjoy a day of peace. In fact, the weather nearly never relents, to the point where strong winds, needle rain, and large waves is concidered good weather. The constant beating of waves on the cliffside, sprays salt water onto the town, creating salt residue on most surfaces, adding grip to the otherwise slippery pathways, and giving an aesthetic contrast to the otherwise dark rocks of the cliff, and structures carved from it.
