Balnor Stormbreaker
Balnor is one of three children of Hedgam Stormbreaker and Eileen Stormbreaker. Growing up, he believed in fighting for what is good and righteous. His dedication to both his father and his virtue caused him to exhibit the powers of a Paladin. After receiving those powers he became a member of the Knights of Thor, an order of Knights directly beholden to the king. When King Stormbreaker fell, many of the Knights of Thor perished in the corruption of Alderdeen at the hands of the king himself. Varrick kept this from Balnor so that Balnor would continue to serve Hedgam.
Balnor first encountered Team Deicide while traveling with Varrick to collect taxes from the Elves of Afa-Thalor. He encountered them again when he and Varrick traveled to Rokthorl to convince the former king of Rokthorl, Argar Ux-Bahamuti to join Stormbreaker. During that event, Balnor engaged in single combat with Rian Osmid and lost. Unbeknownst to Balnor, this combat gave Virgil the distraction needed to assassinate the queen of Rokthorl and steal the currently incubating black dragon egg.
Balnor was present during the battle of Norwich. During the battle he guarded the young Beatrice Hawthorne. After Virgil was killed Balnor agreed to follow Team Deicide to confront King Stormbreaker. When Balnor saw his father, Hedgam murdered Balnor and used his soul as the material component in the creation of a divine heart.
Balnor’s soul is currently contained within the divine heart which is currently in Nessus.
