Virgil Hawthorne

Virgil Hawthorne was many things; a bastard, a noble, an assassin, and now the Dread Lord of the Shadowfell.   Since he was young, war and bloodshed defined Virgil's life. At the age of twelve, his father, Dante, arranged for him to be made into an arcano-bionic monstrosity which saw his body turned into a living weapon. From that point on, Virgil was used by the Hawthorne family to perform political assassinations and his existence was kept secret.   He was discovered by Team Deicide on their way to Bhalum; and again when he and Varrick Stormbreaker stole the black dragon egg from Rokthorl.   Virgil was killed immediately following the Battle of Norwich after Critically wounding Helena Porter. He engaged in combat with Grand Twinkle and was finished by Casseus.   Following his death, Virgil inherited the dominion of his Ancestor, Silas Hawthorne, as a Dread Lord of the Shadowfell. He is currently using his own forces to hinder the efforts of the Army of the Nine Hells to utilize the Shadowfell as a means of maneuvering and recruiting troops.   Following the events of the Great Cataclysm, Virgil retreated to the Shadowfell and was not seen or heard from for a long long time. He was managing his Dread Domain in relative peace. However, the isolation in the plane of shadow, along with the Curse of Hawthorne began to poison his mind. It wasn't long before Virgil succumbed to the cruelty of his ancestor.    Virgil's newfound cruelty along with his ambition soon synergized into something horrible. The circumstances of exactly how Virgil consolidated the entire Shadowfell under his control are unknown. What is known is that the council was discovered to have been brutally murdered in their place of meeting and Virgil, having barely survived, was the only Dread Lord left.    Somewhere between becoming the Supreme Dread Lord and present day, The Minister appeared in the court of Queen Beatrice. It did not take long for The Minister to become the chief enforcer of the Crown's secret police. Soon, the Minister became a name that struck fear into the hearts of children and men alike. When someone got a visit from the minister, they were not ever seen again (at least not in one piece).    During a mission to provide security for the Queen, the FRAG elite squad discovered that The Minister was in fact an alias of Virgil Hawthorne.
