Aryllia

Aryllia is a kingdom that exists due to a deal between 5 races, the Humans, the Elves, the Dwarves, the Dragonborn and the Aarocokra. The races collectively decided to make the king of Aryllia always human, as humans live the shortest lifespans and therefore there would be more rotation of power. The King rules from the capital, Alderdeen. The kingdom is also governed from the three smaller capitals. Norwich in the north, Oceanhaven in the west, and Southhost in the southeast.   Many years ago, the once good king, Hedgam Stormbreaker fell to infernal forces. Four legendary heroes, Adran Amakiir, Valros Caecior, Rian Ozmid, and Casseus, answered the call to remove him and restore peace to Aryllia.    Some time later, the world was once again placed in jeopardy when the evil wizard, Varrick Stormbreaker began to utilize his trans-humanist society, the Scarlet Horizon, to make a series of attacks against the kingdom. The heroes, now accompanied by the cleric, Thia Nilo, discovered a sinister plot from the very depths of the Nine Hells to resurrect the primordial deity of evil, the serpent god Ahriman. With the help of Ahriman's good counter part, Jazirian, the heroes vanquished Ahriman and saved the world yet again.   Thirty years have passed since Team Deicide's victory and their deeds began to fade into legend. It is a time of immense tension, for the first time in history, the rightful successor to the throne was born into the kingdom of the elves. The interim ruler, Dautlin Wolfswift refused to cede his power to the new young king. After a mysterious confrontation with an unknown person, the king was killed and his daughter, Beatrice Hawthorne took his place. Fearful of losing her power and possibly her life, Beatrice instituted an authoritarian state where any questions to her authority were met with swift and brutal punishment. Meanwhile the elves began seeking ways to covertly undermine the kingdom. Upon discovering that Team Deicide was on the side of the elves, Queen Beatrice ruled the once beloved heroes as traitors.    That is the world where our new heroes, a rag-tag group of mercenaries from the adventurers' guild known as FRAG, find themselves. How they will navigate the growing powder-keg is yet to be seen.
