Demographics
Government
The village of Isjarn is ruled by it's Jarl, Einar Isulf. As with many other settlements in The Wildlands, the Jarl has full autonomous rule.
Defences
As with many other settlements in The Wildlands, Isjarn has a wood log wall surrounding the Great Hall with guard posts nearby. The Jarl employs a small contigent of professional soldiers. The village is otherwise defended by a local militia. As with most settlements in The Wildlands, nearly all citizens of Isjarn are capable warriors and raiders.
Industry & Trade
Isjarn may be small, but has a thriving forestry and ice fishing economy, supplying the village and many surrounding areas.
Infrastructure
The village consists of a few dozen heavy timber buildings, most of which are houses, some doubling as places of business. In the center of the village, just off Isjarn Pond, is the village's Great Hall.
Guilds and Factions
Isjarn has been ruled by the Isulf clan for generations.
Points of interest
The Church of Isfru
Isfru, or The Lady of Ice, is the main deity worshiped in Isjarn. Other religions are permitted to be practiced in town and Styr, the local clergyman, generally accepts worshipers of the other deities in his church, but there is seldom need for such occassion.Isjarn Store
The general store in town is run by Venrie. She tries her best to keep a variety of wares in stock, including local products made by Steinolf and Ari, fish from Isjarn Pond, goods harvested from Kaldur Forest, and what foreign supplies she's able to trade for from travellers or foreign traders. Having only one store in town, this is the place to stock up.The Great Hall
As with most settlements in The Wildlands, especially the smaller ones, the largest and most important building is The Great Hall. The Hall serves a number of purposes. It is the personal home of Jarl Einar Isulf, containing quarters for himself and his family. The Jarl also has meeting rooms within the Hall. The largest portion of the building is a dining and mead hall, open to the public. Finally, with no inn in town, the Great Hall contains beds and rooms for rent.
