Brimholt
Brimholt is a modest fishing village on the southern curve of Helgafel Bay, sporting a protected harbor and a narrow palisade of timber surrounding the village proper. The Great Hall of Clan Render sits atop a hill near the harbor as the most visible landmark throughout the village.
Brimholt is defined by a sense of duty and responsibility. Life is harsh along the bay - storms roll in quick and rading parties test their defenses. The people admire loyalty, discipline, and steadfastness. While the village is primarily a fishing village, it has a reputation for raising disciplined axemen, known throughout this corner of The Wildlands for their patient, yet effective fighting style. Supporting both the fishing community and axemen is a healthy group of craftsmen, excelling in creating fishing spears, axes, and shields from driftwood reinforced with iron. Spears for fish, axes for men, is the mantra of Brimholt.

Points of interest
The Great Hall
The Great Hall of Clan Render sits atop a hill, surveying the entirety of the village. Just off of the harbor, the Hall is the grandest building in the settlement. The building sports banners bearing the steel-grey axe on green of the Render clan as the hearth inside burns constantly. It is the personal home of Jarl Hroald Render and his family, contains meeting spaces, and serves as a dining and mead hall, open to the public. The Great Hall also contains beds and rooms for rent, payable to the Jarl himself. The Bay Market
Along the harbor sits an open-air market where fisherfolk trade their daily catch. While the majority of the market is taken up by fish stalls, a few stands sell imported goods - mead, cloth, salt, and other various affects.Skeld's Forge & Stockade
Among the other crafters in Brimholt, Skeld's Forge & Stockade stands above the rest. Skeld, a grizzled veteran and master crafter, produces fishing spears prized for their straight shafts and steel tips, and axes and shields made of driftwood with reinforced iron, producing flexible yet sturdy tools. His wares are sought after by warriors and fishermen alike in the region. The Salted Cod Inn
Brimholt is large enough to have a single Inn in addition to The Great Hall. This warm and smoky tavern sits just inside the palisade, well to the south of the harbor. The place specializes in fish cakes, salted cod (as the name would indicate), and Blackfjord Stout - the inn's home-brewed beer.Brimholt Church
The church does not specialize to any one deity, though the majority of the residents who enter worship The King of the Sea.The Crooked Spear
This tiny oddities shop is run by an Iskjin man named Kjell the Bent - a wiry old man with a long, crooked back and one milky-white eye. The shop carries a variety of trinkets and knick-knacks, some of which are valuable and many of which are not. Kjell the Bent is never short of a story or two as well.
