Code Chivelaric

With regards to the non universality of honor, this document is an attempt of the High Council of the The Wardens Of Tempest to define the meaning of honor more strictly. It states that honor, like it's laid out in the seven principles below, is the cornerstone of knighthood and thus the Code Chivelaric serves as rulebook for every warden of the order to follow.

Clauses

  1. Principle of Brotherhood: Every warden is bound to respect and value all members of the order, no matter the gender, age or race. He is obligated to treat everyone as his equal to the best of his abilities!

  3. Principle of Knighthood: Every member of the order is next to his duty as law bringer first and foremost, a knight. He has to train his mind and body to the highest standards and and has to be an example for people around him. Even the most hated foe is to be treated with honor and respect!

  5. Principle of Loyalty: Every warden is obligated to unconditional loyalty towards the men and women who fight side by side with him. He has to rely not only on the abilities of his brothers and sisters in arms on the battlefield but also in the sincerity of their word, which is never, under any circumstances to be broken!

  7. Principle of Neutrality: Every warden is forbidden to show or even follow any political or ideological motivation!

  9. Principle of Courtesy: Every warden has to conduct himself in a proper many at all times! Never is he allowed to offend an (potential) ally or brother in arms!

  11. Principle of Unity: Even though the high council has the final say in matters of dispute, every warden is equal in his right to contribute ideas and suggestions to the war council!

  13. Principle of Honesty: Members of the order are bound to honor and therefore may never lie to his fellow wardens!

Caveats

The High Council decides the punishment for each and any case separately, thus the repercussions for transgressions can vary widely.
