Kaimana Archipelago
This archipelago exhibits diverse terrain features, a result of their volcanic origins and subsequent geological processes. They are broadly categorized into two main types:
- high volcanic islands
- low-lying coral atolls
Geography
These islands either have dormant or active volcanoes; the larger islands are dormant. Many of the smaller ones are low atolls. They mostly are a combination of volcanic, tropical, lush, rocky, large land predators, few large land animals, or other animals.
Ecosystem
Some dwarf versions of larger animals, like birds, reptiles, rodents, primates. and insects. Lacking in most metals, especially rare earth ones, mostly have crystals (except silicates), various minerals like igneous, and sedimentary. Wood and other plant matter is plentiful. Precious and semiprecious gems are plentiful.
Localized Phenomena
Monsoons, waterspouts, rainstorms, constant wind, and typhoons are common. Because of the volcanoes, ash plumes, steam vents, and seismic activity would be common.
Climate
Temperature:
- Daytime Highs: ranging from of 90-100+, and feeling warmer due to the humidity.
- Nighttime Lows: typically 80-90, providing little relief from the warmth.
- Frequency: rains are less frequent in the dry season, with an intense downpour once every few days, often in the late afternoon or evening.
- Intensity: showers can be brief but heavy. They are generally isolated and quickly pass, leading back to sunshine.
