Security Classification: Level 1: Public Access

Introductory Overview: The Ceangar are a Sophic species characterized by a compact, short-statured physique that belies their significant physical strength, which is derived from dense musculature and a resilient bone structure. They are renowned for their unparalleled innate aptitude for piloting vehicles and riding mounts, a skill attributed to their exceptional balance, spatial awareness, and hand-eye coordination. A key biological distinction is their ability to willingly stimulate their adrenal gland, producing a temporary but potent enhancement to their physical capabilities, a trait that also significantly influences their temperament and cultural stereotypes.

//>_ Hacker_Override_Initiated... Karckess on the little daredevils. //>_ Don't let the size fool you; Ceangar are pint-sized powerhouses. Built solid, strong as folks twice their height. They're born aces – put a Ceangar in a cockpit, on a bike, or on the back of some wild beast, and they'll probably outperform anyone. They've also got a neat biological party trick: an adrenaline switch they can flip anytime for a massive boost of speed and strength. The downside? The comedown makes 'em aggressive and irritable as hell, which is where they get that 'short-tempered' reputation.

A Species for Speed

Ceangar are a species born to ride. They tamed mounts even before they had recorded history and they have only adapted, improved, and evolved. During the Scale War, the Ceangar acted as the mounted vanguard for almost every battle. As technology took over, they shifted from being the best bareback riders, to the best jockies, to the best drivers, and they are now the best pilots. They are the must-have racers, getaway drivers, combat pilots.
Their entire nomadic culture is based on having the fastest, strongest engines. When they stop by a town, their stay becomes a cross between a festival and a bartering auction house. In every Ceangar caravan, there are always alcohol and food vendor wagons, mechanic wagons, and several wagons piled high with whatever they had to trade or sell. These week-long festivals involve lots of hocking wares, shouts of joy and anger, mad chatter of bartering for the best price for goods, and lots of things being thrown either for ease of reach or out of sheer anger. Their wagons can be pulled by jet bikes, tow treads, or they could even be using an MH class rock crawler as their so-called wagon.

Mysterious Origins

While Elves, Dwarves, and Orcs were crafted by a higher power, the Dracose were developed through breeding experiments, and Humans and Primals evolved from simple animals, Ceangar do not know where they came from. They have legends of being crafted by the gods. Some legends say that they are the children of Mayfenna, the goddess of love, and Rathose the god of adventure and mosnter slaying. Other legends say Rayla, the goddess of the hunt, and Rathose created them. Still other legends say that Gargrum, the god of sculpture, Skadder, the god of painting and drawing, Felasbar, the goddess of celebration and/or Trannar, the god of travel were involved in their creation. There is also evidence of Ceangar possibly developing through evolution, only they progressed much faster than either Humans or Primals. The commonly held theory among the Ceangar and many others are that they are a product of evolution that has been directed and sped up by at least two gods.

Basic Information

Anatomy

The Ceangar possess a bipedal anatomical structure similar to that of Humans or Elves, but are distinguished by their significantly shorter stature, with average heights ranging from 3 feet to 4 feet 5 inches. Their most notable morphological characteristic is an exceptionally high musculoskeletal density. This results in dense muscle mass and remarkably strong bones, granting them physical strength and resilience that is disproportionately great for their compact size, often comparable to that of an average Human.
//>_ Hacker_Override_Initiated... Karckess on the Ceangar's build. //>_ Ceangar are basically walking, talking bricks. They look like scaled-down humans, topping out under four-and-a-half feet tall. But everything's packed in tight – super dense muscle, super strong bones. It's why a Ceangar can arm-wrestle a human twice their size and stand a damn good chance of winning. All engine, no wasted space on the chassis.

Genetics and Reproduction

The average Ceangar gestation period is documented to be between 8 and 10 months, slightly shorter than the Human baseline. Their reproductive cycle is sufficient to maintain stable populations within their communities. While less common due to significant physiological and cultural differences, viable offspring from inter-species pairings with other humanoid Sophic species have been anecdotally reported, though comprehensive xenobiological data on such hybrids is limited.
//>_ Hacker_Override_Initiated... Karckess on Ceangar baby-making, quick-like. //>_ Ceangar are in and out of the oven in about 8 to 10 months, a bit quicker than humans. As for cross-species kids? It happens. Not super common, but the galaxy is full of stories about Human-Ceangar or Elf-Ceangar kids running around. Probably makes for some seriously energetic and stubborn offspring.

Growth Rate & Stages

The average lifespan for a Ceangar is approximately 110 Anogwin standard years. They are generally considered to have reached physical and social maturity around the age of 20. This indicates a period of youth and young adulthood that is proportionally longer than a Human's but significantly shorter than those of long-lived species like Elves, accommodating their energetic and experience-seeking early lives.
//>_ Hacker_Override_Initiated... Karckess on the Ceangar timeline. //>_ Ceangar clock out around 110 years on average. They're not considered full-fledged adults until they're 20, which gives them two solid decades to be reckless young daredevils before getting saddled with real responsibility. It's a nice sweet spot – more time for youthful stupidity than humans get, but they don't stay kids for a century like Elves do.

Ecology and Habitats

Ceangar are a species that can be found in almost any environment. They do have a prefrence for warmer, more arid climates.

Dietary Needs and Habits

Ceangar have a high dietary requirement for protine and iron, making them fond of all forms of animal meat.

Behaviour

The Ceangar are psychologically characterized by a boisterous, lively, and highly energetic disposition, with a cultural predilection for social gatherings, food, and drink. Their common stereotype for being quick-tempered is directly linked to a unique biological trait: the innate ability to willingly stimulate their adrenal gland. While this provides a potent, temporary increase in physical strength and speed, it is known to induce subsequent psychological side effects, including heightened aggression, pronounced irritability, and a temporary reduction in rational decision-making faculties. This biological mechanism is a key driver of their daredevil tendencies and physically assertive nature.
//>_ Hacker_Override_Initiated... Karckess on what makes a Ceangar go. //>_ Ceangar are basically hyperactive thrill-seekers who love a good party. They're loud, lively, and can eat and drink most other species under the table. That famous short fuse they have? It's a feature, not a bug. They have a literal 'go-button' for their adrenaline gland they can hit for a massive power-up in a fight or a race. The problem is, the adrenaline crash leaves them angry, irritable, and not thinking straight. They're fun-loving daredevils with a built-in berserker mode, so maybe don't spill their drink.

Additional Information

Perception and Sensory Capabilities

The Ceangar sensory profile is highly specialized. Their unique ocular structure provides them with enhanced long-distance visual acuity and a natural resistance to intense glare or sudden flashes of light, making them difficult to blind with such methods. This specialization, however, results in significantly reduced nocturnal vision capabilities. To compensate for this, Ceangar possess highly developed auditory acuity and an exceptionally keen olfactory sense, which can be effectively utilized for tracking purposes.
//>_ Hacker_Override_Initiated... Karckess on Ceangar sensors. //>_ Ceangar senses are built for daytime ops. Their eyes are like built-in binoculars that aren't bothered by bright lights or flashbangs. The trade-off is that they can't see for crap in the dark. To make up for it, they've got super-hearing and a nose that's good enough to track somebody with. Perfect for a daylight bounty hunter or scout, not so great for sneaking around a tomb at midnight.
