Shadow Fiend

The Shadow Fiend a unique being in Aldern. It is the Avatar of the Aggoles known as Elilliof the Nod Noch Nine. The entity has only appeared in historical records a half dozen times throughout history, usually in times of upheaval in the world's Magic. That said, Elilli's cult claim the Shadow Fiend walks among mankind eternally, watching and guiding the flow of the Anon.
This avatar is created through a ritual deep in Etu Enur, where the barriers between that realm and Kur are weakened in a Shadowfell. Within the Shadowfell, a faithful of Elilli sacrifices their body to their god, becoming the Shadow Fiend. The body disintegrates into a purely shadowing essence. Elilli's will solidifies the essence into its humanoid for, looking like a tall thin man in a black cloak of wisping shadows. Nothing but darkness hides under the raised hood, darkness and two glowing eyes of fire brightness.
When Elilli is done with his avatar he abandons, and it returns to the shadowy essence it became in the ritual. A few of his most intelligent and wise worshippers use their time deep in the dreamy existence while Elilli possess them to learn how to solidify their form, becoming Ngissu, demons of shadow. These rare individuals are the favored of Elilli, his closest minions, and his voice on Aldern.
