Aggoles (ah GOHL ez)

Fallen Angels

Aggoles is the name given to a host of Aggel that rebelled against Alu at the dawn of time. According to the myths aggoles came to control the Daemon civilization of Noch during the Randeny Period. In preshitory aggel dwelt in the realms Beyond Aldern coming and going from Aldern as they pleased. The host that would become the aggoles grew fond of the material world, choosing to spend their time in the world. The longer these aggels remained in the material world, the more they craved its wonders.

As they spent their time with the Nod Noch the aggoles took seats in the Council of Man, eventually holding the entire leadership of the people, who came to see them as gods. These aggoles took to creating cults in their name and having union with the mortals. Their offspring were the Nefylmon of old.

The aggoles, led by the strongest of their kind, a group that would come to be known as the Nod Noch Nine, were a major faction in starting the legendary Aggelomachy. In their defeat they were banished into Kur, deep in Etu Enur, never allowed to return to Aldern. The imprisonment in Kur was designed by Alu to bind these beings within the realm. This divine binding seems based on the power of the being in question. This means that the most powerful, the Nine, are eternally trapped in Kur. The lesser aggoles, such as Fiends, can find ways through the barriers of Kur into Etu Enur, and sometimes beyond. These fiends act as servants to the Nine and other powerful aggoles in their quest to escape their prison. If they cannot escape, then they will destroy all of creation in vengeance.

As aggoles are aggels in all forms but name and ideology, they are in all ways as powerful as their counterparts. It is good these fallen aggels are imprisoned in Kur, as even one could lay waste to all creation with no resistance. Only the arrival of aggel or Alu himself could stop such an onslaught.
