The Daughters of Purity only recently established their small church, which worships one of the almost forgotten Old Gods: Senestra. Alicea, who was working in Bridgeport's Great Library at the time, had discovered one of the few copies (there are only three) of the Kama Senestra, or Senestra's Books of Love, a pair of two books encased in a thick leather box. She started reading them and got drawn in rather quickly. After finishing the books, she approached some of her best friends, who were reluctant at first but were struck by the same fascination. Soon the five of them started their little goddess-led counselling service.
Everyone who visits the Daughters leaves with a hint on how to tackle the problems they came with, or they forget their problems altogether.
There is no public prayer service held at the church. Instead, the Sisters meet with clients in one-on-one counselling sessions during which they practice rituals with them. These appointments may be scheduled at the client's convenience. At the conclusion of a session like this, the participating sister assists the client in gaining new perspectives and finding answers to the challenges they came to the session with. A significant number of the customers provide generous contributions to the sisters.

Chapters of Book I- Sapientiam per puritatem
- Virtues of a true follower
- Establishing and maintaining a church
- Anything you need to know: Senestra
- The daily routine
- Rites for followers
- Empathy
- Counselling
- Simple Rituals
- Introduction to the Inner Sanctum
- Garments of a Priestess
The second book seems to be written in an illegible language, at least if you just pick it up and open it. To grasp the content of the second book, you need to read the first book to the end ("Introduction to the Inner Sanctum" is the important part) and perform the rituals described. This will clean your mind ("purity") and open it for the content of the second book.
When reaching the end of the second book, the reader will find a small compartment on the inside of the thick back cover, containing a small heart-shaped necklace. The necklace can only be found and worn by who finished reading the book (there will be a new one for each reader).

Love the idea of combining those typically differentiated types of love: physical and platonic into one, under the banner of heart with a cross. Sort of like a reunion of the Babylonian traditions of Ishtar with christianity. The history and spoiler-tagged parts built up some curiosity and hunger for more. And I like it that the 5 characters are shown on the right. It all seems much more branched with them and building involved. I get to know the place and its inhabitants.
Glad you like it. There's more to come, I just started with all the things. :)
