The peculiar role of the God of Knowledge
The god of knowledge and magic occupies a particular place in the history of Aj'kar; for a reason that no scholar has been able to explain, both continents developed worship of such a god independently and, mysteriously, both use the exact same symbol, down to the way it's made. To muddle the issue further, there have been reports that even some Tritons worship a similar god who bears the shooting star symbol.
Ever since the reunification of the two continents, this matter has been debated by both arcane and divine scholars, who seek to know how such a church could develop the same way on two places where nobody could have possibly communicated with the other. The leading theory is that it must have been born on one continent and somehow exported, though nobody knows how that may have happened without a ship of some sort. While high level magic may have been used to achieve a similar effect, no conclusive proof has been found of the usage of such spells as of yet.
In the meanwhile, worshippers of the Teacher and Scrios are content to work with each other. Though there are slight theological differences between the two, they are still more than happy to convene with each other and help one another, for they all realise that their god would've wanted them to do so. Though it is not an officially recognised precept of the religion, this rare neutrality has often seen worshippers of either god work as either diplomats or ambassadors. Notably, a majority of the members of the Assembled Monastery for Spiritual and Historical Knowledge are worshippers of Scrios / the Teacher, or at least pay respects to them.
