Friends won and lost
Dear Diary,
DOGGIES!!! BIG ICE DOGGIES!!!!! Sorry, had to get that out of my system.
We got a letter from Mr. Cheese himself the other day. It sounds like Ray and Illy have been busy on their little trip - that dragon guy sounded scary. But we've been busy too. Renjy gave a wonderful little speech about rebuilding The Hold, and then we went to talk to Mr. Bjorn. We met an orc called Lockey, and it turns out he's an old friend of Bjorn's. He's a very good hunter, so he should be a big help in defending this place. But anyway, he found out about this really big ice wolf like the one we fought when we all met - he wanted to kill it, but I think they'll be a big help in the fights to come, so I managed to convince him to let us try and befriend it.
So me, Renjy, Lockey and Bjorn went to find this wolf, and it turns out there were two of them! We just about managed to get on good terms with them (despite Renjy's shennanninanigans), but just as we were leaving we got attacked! These weird tattooed guys with no eyes shot at us, and nearly scared off the doggies! We killed them (thanks to Lockey's surprising speed) and took the dogs home where we kept them behind a waterfall. We became really good friends with the dogs, and once Ray got back, he looked at the dogs memories. He didn't tell me what he saw, but he looked sad afterwards. But he did learn from that that the old lady's flowers helped the dog, so he gave it one and it seemed to really calm it. The flowers keep glowing whenever Ray holds them. Maybe he has super awesome flower magic that could help Orchid's forest. Anyway we let the dog sleep and want to camp.
So, Illy opened up a little about her whole thing with Gilgamesh (at least I think that's what he's called) and even though I was really super sneaky and secretive, the group found out that I still have the spear tip. They weren't very happy about it, but honestly they weren't as mad as I was expecting. But that argument did get interrupted by the sound of howling. It turns out there were more of those blind guys and they found out we were hiding the doggies! We rushed back as fast as we could, but we were too late and the bigger one was killed... Illy went off to chase them, and I made sure the doggy will rest in peace. I didn't even get to give it a name...
