Maresa-Karkhala War
The Maresa-Karkhala War was a conflict lasting just nine days, taking place a few months after Karkhala entered its Space Age, and the oanie took to the greater galaxy. Karkhala attempted to claim several planets under Maresa's jurisdiction; thankfully, the oanie's inexperience and Maresa's benevolence meant this was not a particularly destructive conflict.
Two months after venturing beyond the Kurhira System for the first time, a fleet of Karkhalan spacecrafts discovered the Selvos Cluster. This solar system contains 103 planets, 69 of which have no native sophonts. Not that this mattered to the oanie, anyways. These overzealous people decided to land on one of the most populated planets, suddenly declaring themselves their new ruler.

Unfortunately for them, the oanie had landed on Maresa's planetary embassy, Mautsena. The embassy laughed - Karkhala did not like this. The fleet sent a warning shot at the embassy's headquarters. Half of the building became rubble, leaving the embassy speechless. Not a single civilisation would dare encroach on Maresa's territory, let alone attack it, as it is an unspoken galactic agreement that Maresa's land is for the people, and can be considered a Yonderversal neutral zone.
To send a simple message back, Maresa destroyed the entire fleet using some of the most primitive, outdated machinery they had. They felt the fleet wasn't even worth using their finest defensive weaponry.
This attack then led to a back and forth lasting another eight days; the oanie used all of their strength and power, while Maresa treated them as an irritating fly buzzing around, that only needed swatting away.
Maresa has long since forgotten about this conflict. While it was meaningless to them, for the oanie it was crucial in their progress as a species, and as a people. During these nine days, secret spacefleets landed on Mautsena. Precious technology was stolen and brought back to Karkhala, studied by the most elite scientists. This helped them create new weaponry, a catalyst in their development. This technology would later help them claim thousands more planets, devastate countless civilisations, and annihilate trillions of innocent people.
Love the characterization of this conflict!
thank you so much! <3
