March of 31 Tales

I'm always trying out new methods of balancing my work and my life. Creating worlds is a big part of my life, and naturally that means I want to make plenty of time for it. I don't have plenty of time anymore (thanks, work), so I'm always experimenting with new writing and brainstorming techniques to allow me to worldbuild as effectively as possible, minimising burnout.

I've tried writing one single fleshed out article a week, which didn't last long. I've tried letting myself only write when my energy, inspiration, and motivation lines up, but that led me to not writing a thing for two weeks straight, the longest break I've ever taken from writing.

Demongrey is an anvilite I've become good friends with in the last year, and I've become very familiar with his writing style and schedule. Demongrey makes an effort to write an article a day, above 325 words. This doesn't include all of the extra stubs that populate his world, either. Demongrey has successfully written an article day for the last year and a half, and it's inspired me to try and write more consistently.

When I first heard of this challenge I wasn't sure if I'd participate, because at the time it didn't align with how I was approaching worldbuilding. Times have changed, and this challenge became more and more of a motivation for me. In fact, to get a headstart and to make the challenge easier, I've been writing a 300+ word article every day for the last week! It's the most consistent I've written in months. I want to carry on with this energy further into the year, and turn 2025 into the best year it can be for the Yonderverse.

My aim with this challenge is to write a 300+ word article every day of March. A fun side-goal is to make the latest article relate to the previous one in some way. Maybe it's a species living on the same planet as the previous article, or it's two cultures that frequently interact. I won't push hard on this goal, but I would love for each entry to relate to others in some form, and really tie my worldbuilding together!
