Into the Yonderverse
Welcome to the Yonderverse! This introduction shall get you up to speed with the world as a whole; what genres to expect, the magic, technology, culture, the history of the world, and everything in between.
The Yonderverse is all about exploration. It is about telling stories and building worlds of different themes and vibes, all blending together in one beautiful chaotic mess.
I like staring into the sky at night, looking at each star. I like to imagine what life could be like out there in the vastness of space. I don't envision a lifeless void. I envision the Yonderverse, a place sprawling with interesting people and places.
It's the kind of thing that makes me emotional, brings a tear to my eye. A single life may be important, but it is nothing compared to the sheer size of the universe. There are infinite stories to be told in a world this big.
History
The Yonderverse is 640 billion years old. This is far longer than any mind can comprehend, and yet society doesn't forget the things that happen billions of years in the past. The world may move on from catastrophic events, but nothing truly goes forgotten.
Scroll through the Yonderverse Master Timeline to take a look at all major historical events, from the unfolding of solar systems to legislative actions are all documented in this timeline, and it will continue to expand as the history of the Yonderverse is fleshed out.
The first intelligent lifeforms, the aptly named Precursors, appeared 290 billion years ago. Since then, life has only progressed and evolved, people growing stronger and smarter.
Around 150 billion years ago the colonisation of space took place. Civilisations began breaking out of their planetary shells and delving into space at a similar time. Some had better success than others, and some never made it off their planets.
For much of history, space was a lawless place. It was where people went to fight, to wage wars. Planets were places of refuge, and space was a free-for-all. Only in the last fifty million years has society evolved into a more peaceful state.
While I may occasionally delve into the prehistory of the Yonderverse, my main focus is on recent events. Fleshing out existing civilisations and their history is my priority, though the people that came before them will naturally influence all of this, and their stories deserve to be told as well.
A large focus lies on razheans and oanie, two major opposing forces in the Yonderverse currently. Razheans are morally good, valuing exploration and research more than anything, while the oanie only care about expanding their claims.
Magic in the Yonderverse
Magic is a very important aspect of the Yonderverse. Magic is derived from the infinite realms that exist in this world. The Capital Dimension, the realm you'll find most stories take place, exists thanks to leylines, special streams of magic that have overflown from these other realms. It is an amalgamation of every form of magic in existence, and because of that it is the most prevalent realm, the biggest, the best.
Realms come in all shapes and forms. Some are planes of existence, such as the Lucid Realm. Others are voids, and some are liminal spaces, like the Silent Halls. There are an infinite amount of realms, and I'm constantly developing more and more, each with unique properties that set it apart from the rest.
Magic itself is infinite. A person can wield an infinite amount of power, provided they have the strength to withstand it. If not, there are extreme consequences, that typically reflect the strength of magic. Curses are an ever-looming threat for sorcerers - the more dangerous the magic you intend to wield, the more horrific the curses. Time Ripped is a good example of the type of curse to expect.
Magic is both an arcane, mystical thing, and a tool used in daily life, it just depends on who you ask. It is used in daily life around space, but in isolated civilisations it may be something far more revered, or simply non-existent (from the people's perspective).
People of the Yonderverse
With a world this large, there are people round every corner. Space is where people congregate, where cultures overlap and mesh together. It causes conflict just as much as it causes new relationships to form.
In the Yonderverse people are typically "good". There are naturally exceptions, the biggest example being the oanie. They clash with other cultures and other peoples, and there are many conflicts detailing these encounters, and even more to come.
Diversity is a huge part of my world. People are free to be who they are, and that's how I like it. People can dress how they want, identify how they want, be in love with who they want.
It is important to me that there is plenty of queer representation. Naturally, this seeps into writing about peoples and cultures. Most, if not all of my characters written in the past few years fall under the queer community, somewhere. I'm happy with this, and I'll probably continue with it. Someone's identity really doesn't matter that much, it's rare it'll ever have a big impact on a character and their actions.

This world is flashy and vibrant. Human made art is an important aspect of this world, and as I grow as a writer and artist, both of those art forms blend together to create my articles. The Yonderverse is an amalgamation of everything that is important to me. My core beliefs, my love for the natural world, music, art, everything. The Yonderverse is deeply personal to me. It has grown from just a fun writing exercise to something that helps define who I am as a person.

Yaaaay, the Yonderverse! :D I love all the species you create.
