Galactic Highway High-Speed Squad
The Galactic Highway High-Speed Squad is a sub-section of the Galactic Highway Traffic Police, designed to handle high speed, intense situations.
The role of a traditional highway police officer is to maintain the flow of traffic, assist new drivers, while perched at highway intersections. Anyone in the high-speed squad is on call and must respond immetiately to an alert of someone breaking the speed limit.
Unfortunately it is common for someone to fly over the speed limit, an incredibly dangerous act that can, and has, resulted in massive collisions and countless deaths.
The high-speed squad is equipped with one of the fastest solo shuttles around, as well as long range tasers that can reliably stretch ten thousand metres.
Any member of this squad must go through a five year training program, enhancing ones physical and mental prowess, truly pushing them to their limits. Members of the squad need to be able to make rational decisions in seconds, be able to maintain a high speed chase and apprehend criminals, as well as being able to navigate the bronzestream, an exclusive path on the Highway used by law enforcement, utilising strategically placed wormholes to travel incredible distances in seconds.
It is imperative our high-speed squad are fast-acting and ruthless. This world is a dangerous place, every day we have millions of people breaking the speed limit that is there for a reason. After the great Sol Highway Crash, causing five million deaths, we simply cannot risk anyone breaking the speed limit on our roads.
