Eli Lestrii
Eli Lestrii was a member of the Oan Accenda, a group of explorers that attempted to map out the Milky Way. The groups' voyages led them far and wide across the galaxy, discovering thousands of brand new solar systems, of which they got to name.
Eli led this group for a short period of time, and he was directly responsible for discovering ellestriite's fuel properties.
History
Eli was born into the Oan Accenda, both of his parents renowned leaders of the group. He was estimated to have been born around five thousand years ago, although records are unreliable. Eli was taught witchcraft from birth; he was quick to master wielding fire and water, two opposing forces he learnt to blend together.
His mastery over elemental magic guided him down a leadership career. He was quick to replace his parents as leader of the Oan Accenda, as they stepped down in preparation for retirement.
Studying Ellestriite
Ellestriite had been discovered hundreds of years prior to Eli's birth. It was through sheer dumb luck that he managed to turn an ingot of this metal into a powder and discover its igniting capabilities. He figured it may be effective as a spacecraft fuel source, so he retrofitted his ship's escape pod to contain a canister of ellestriite powder.
Miraculously, the powder was able to send the escape pod well beyond the solar system, using up not even a millionth of the fuel. With a little more testing, Eli was confident this material could become an effective fuel source for spacecrafts.
The entire Accenda switched to ellestriite powder, and more people throughout the Milky Way followed suit.
