Eleporan Seahorse Racing
Navigating Elepora's waterfall cities can be a difficult task, especially for the uninitiated. The marbled city of Kamaarha is well known for its seastallion racing, an intense competition of speed where participants soar up and down vertical waterways atop majestic seahorses.
This sport became popular after shellcars were invented. Eleporan seahorses were once the primary means of transportation, but shellcars and similar vehicles rendered these animals obselete. To keep the seahorse industry afloat, it became a sport, a rather high-end one at that.
Some of the most famous seahorse racers have a net worth well over a billion charms. Serenea Kellep is responsible for popularing this sport outside of the planet. She has a major online presence, where she promotes Elepora, encouraging online betting on seahorses.
Eleporan Seahorses
Eleporan seahorses are one of many domesticated species on the planet. Powerful fins allow them to swim more than fifty kilometres per hour, and can scale a hundred foot waterfall in just a minute.
As a domesticated species, there are hundreds of breeds designed for specific purposes and use-cases. One of these is of course racing. Muscular horses are bred with incredible stamina and powerful fins. Unfortunately they are incredibly high maintence, and only true professionals can handle taking good care of a racing seahorse.
In the wild, seahorses can be seen striding along the ocean's surface. They roam above coral reefs, diving down to snack on polyps. Wild seahorses should be avoided; they can be incredibly territorial and are known to attack passerbys.

History
The invention of shellcars five hundred years ago took the planet by storm. It was all anyone could talk about, and soon everyone had this latest mechanical wonder. Pretty soon, using seahorses as transportation became an antique, a thing of the past.
Seahorse racing has been a sport for thousands of years prior to the invention of shellcars, but this technological milestone shifted seahorse racing society. The Seahorse Society is the leading organisation in all things seahorses. They have a monopoly of all racing organisations on Elepora and is ran by an elite, exclusive council, constantly cycling through new members.
What do you mean... a live stream?I mean this video I'm making, people are watching this as I'm filming it.Oh, so not a river?...No. Goodness me, we need to get you up to date on all this technology.
This sport blossomed after the invention of shellcars. Those that wanted to cling onto the sport found comfort in their tight-knit searhorse communities. The Eleporan Seaquine Association, a subsidiary of the Seahorse Society, is the largest seahorse racing organisation, and was founded around two hundred years ago.
While many older organisations stuck to their roots, the ESA bravely brought the sport into modern times. They promoted on social platforms, ammassing millions of followers on various sites, gaining attention for short and snappy videos promoting some of their most entertaining seahorses. Serena Kellep is a major ambassador of this organisation, aiding them in their inter-planetary promotions. Thanks to her help, thousands of tourists were streaming into Elepora's major cities to watch these events in person. The planet was not well accustomed to outside visitors, but they were quick to adapt.
The Seahorse Society is now looking to build racetracks on neighbouring planets, and their moons. If they continue on their current trajectory, the Society will be able to expand across the solar system and beyond, a prospect some are excited for, and others reluctant.
Kids these days. Always wanting more and more. What happened to appreciating what you have? I miss when I was a kid. I rode on my seahorse because I loved him, not because I wanted money. Absolutely pitiful.
I love the art of Redbolt. He looks beautiful! :D These seahorses better be treated well >:(
