Birth of Eclypsa's Dual Gods
The tidally locked planet Eclypsa has a Dawn and a Dusk, each one believed to be protected by its own deity. The eclyptides of the Dusk worship Tenebra, while fear Luxia.
Eclypsian myth states this planet was once a lifeless grey planet. An asteroid struck, leaving two giant eggs, one black, one white. It took a milennia for the eggs to hatch, and when they did the planet separated into a Dawn and Dusk, to accommodate these babies.
The two grew up on either side of the planet in solitude. They tended to their half of the world, creating its environments and creatures. Tenebra saw a vision of people populating the Dusk. He stuck true to this vision and created eclyptides. Luxia became jealous, as she never had a vision.
Tenebra is Eclypsa's God of the Night and Stars. His physical body is jet black with a starry halo and cosmic swirls around his torso.
Tenebra commands the darkness, and the galaxies seen swirling in the skies are believed to be his creation too. The Milky Way, visible at all times, is said to be his place of rest.
Luxia is Eclypa's God of the Day. Her physical body is an almost pure white, with six halos orbiting her head.
While most fear Luxia, some are intrigued by her, worshippd her, and so constructed the Sphere, an artificially dark domed settlement based in the Dawn.
