Northern Kingdom

Current Political Landscape
The current Sovereign is King Mayrdern Tyver III, married to Queen Eidyn Tyver. Eidyn Tyver comes from a barely noble family, but managed to get in the good graces of the King which led to the marriage.
Being located entirely within the Northern Wilds, there is always something to do. The area has many monsters hiding and living in the many hills, caves and mountains. This unstableness has lead many to believe that it is only a matter of time before the kingdom collapses in on itself. However, for the 150 years of its lifespan, neither the kingdom or its citizens show signs of getting weaker. In fact the hardships seem to make them stronger, and more zealous in their loyalty to the kingdom. There are of course some families that are not entirely happy with the directions taken, but most keep to themselves and only occasionally air complaints.
Eidyn Tyver is currently pregnant with what the mages and healers say are twins. Their birth is expected on the day of Black Sun. Many rumors float around about the twins, some saying they are saviors sent by the gods, others say they are demons that will be born in darkness.

Geographic description
Its western border lies ontop of the Kingdom of Invar, and its eastern ontop of the Kingdom of Clir. North there is only frozen wastelands and to the south is the central sea. While they have easy access to the sea, not much trade happens since the kingdoms fleet is very small. Some caravans make the trip for trade over land, but this is rare due to the high likelyhood of encountering monsters on such a long journey.
Located in the Northern Wilds, the Nothern Kingdom is mostly hills, tundras and mountains. A few plains exist but even those have sparse vegetation. Three mountains ranges are present within the borders, which has led to many towns appearing close to where a rich mine can be built. Some of these mines have already been established, but it takes a long time to build a mine so there are still many towns waiting for when they can start mining and trading.
Trees do exist, and the occasional small forest can be found. However, to be able to build anything significant trading for wood is the only viable option, since their own trees are small and skinny.

Military
The Northern Kingdom only has about 2.000 soldiers, however, they have a cavalry force of 8.000. Much larger than any other kingdom, their cavalry force is used to patrol their far strecthing lands, keeping towns safe. Technically, there are more riders, they are however, tasked with protecting the massive herds of animals which roam the Northern Wilds. They bring them from town to town to make sure everyone gets food. In the case of a war these riders can be called upon which would bolster the cavalry by 1.500. Due to its young age, the Nothern Kingdom only has a navy of 15 ships, however, they are working to create more.

Heraldry
The Northern Kingdoms flag, is that of a brown horse, mountains on each side of it, a gray field under it and a light blue sky above. The gray and light blue are the colors used to represent the Nothern Kingdom on armor, clothing and flags. The military uses the horse upon a simple light blue banner as their insignia. The higher your rank the more points the banner ends in, soldiers having no point, squires 1, captains 3, knights 2 on both ends of the banner, generals have 5 and the Rider of War (a position very similar to a Master of War) has 9. The navy uses the same system, seeing as they have not had time to esthablish themselves.
The insignia of the crown is a pegasus, symbolising freedom, and the right to choose your own path. Messengers and other such servants of the crown have a pegasus feather as a symbol, with a light blue banner if they are soldiers.
