North Pole Central Archives

The North Pole Central Archives, located in the city, holds all information in a vault under the protection of Record Elves. Record Elves preserve these records on the grounds of their enduring cultural and historical value.   The Archives have four sub-divisions.   Christmas Letters are the first division. These letters are divided by year and stored for prosperity. Each year, they are taken into the archives.   The second is the Naughty and Nice List. These are taken after every Christmas Eve down to the archives and stored for prosperity. This sub-division is also divided by year. Besides these two, all documents about the Valley also are here.   The North Pole Central Archives has an office in the central part of the city. The archives themselves are located underground within The Outer Limits. Secured inside the walls of the valley, the entrance hides the way to information that could damage Christmas Spirit.   The department director is Archivist of North Pole Village, Hugo Cristobal Esther.   The North Pole Central Archives is both above and below ground level. The aboveground is mainly offices. Only a few elves work here.   Freight elevators, magical in nature, take elves and others down below ground level where the true archives lie. Before people see the vastness, the desk welcomes them.   This desk, inside of a ticket office-type room with a room behind it, is used to check in. It is manned by a clerical elf who operates as security.   This elf is only security to ensure people are counted properly. If something happens, he/she knows who was in and hadn’t come out yet.   Beyond this point, many signs point to different sections of archives with the oldest being at one end of the hallway and the newer records at the other.   Record Elves who come here may retrieve records if asked to by Santa.   They can sometimes be seen going to buildings like the North Pole Post Office. They are seen more than Toy Elves.   Other locations of the archives include a second location in Canada. A third place is at the South Pole. These were a later addition.
