Christmas Eve Launch Center
Christmas Eve Launch Center for Santa's Launch is a Department of Christmas Eve Delivery Building and part of Santa’s Flight Command. This building is only used during Christmastime. It has one use, to launch Santa onto his world tour delivering toys to good children.
Most people wonder how the sleigh gets here.
The sleigh is on a mystical, circular platform (turntable-like thing) that goes from the loading area to the top. It does this without being watched.
This is usually the last destination on Christmas Eve. After watching Santa leave, all elves not working usually watch the globe and track him. But elves are usually working and watching the globe.
The building is V-shaped.
From the outside, there’s no grand signage at the front door. Just a sign listing it as entrance to “Christmas Launch Tower”.
Not much is on the first floor. There’s a cleaning closet and the stairs up to the actual launch center. It is only upon reaching the actual launch center is there something.
This floor, the actual launch center, is why the building is V-shaped.
The sleigh’s circular platform is where the runway starts. Straight ahead at the end, a ramp helps the sleigh lift off.
The other corridor is what is traditionally a reindeer barn.
These nine (which increases to twelve later on) stables are for Santa’s Sleigh Team, often known as The Original Nine or Christmas Flagship Team.
There’s also a balcony where Santa and his wife give speeches. Here, they see many elves, reindeer and other residents.
Santa has several guests that also come here on Christmas Eve. The Collective Congress is the first group. The Rulers are part of this group but have always come. This includes Baxter who is also his successor.
Other leaders come. Sometimes, the department heads come. This is unusual and rare but not something that never happens.
