The Gamma Knife is a powerful blade originally made by the Stars. Forged from the lifeblood of the Blackstar, the Gamma Knife is a weapon of mass destruction that was designed by the Stars to be able to strike down the strongest of defenses. It's black blade shines bright with power, reflecting a red light when held at the right angle. Once, it was sealed within a vault found on Silver Mt. Zion. Now, it is wielded by Iris Nox, the leader of the Tower Of Babel.

History

After the 10,000 Days wrecked the entirety of Earth and brought about The Schism, the Stars that would go on to inhabit what would become their new home, Blackstar. During this transitional period for them, they realized the danger that now existed in a world without God. The realms were overrun with Primal Gods, which posed a great risk to their continued survival. To combat this, the Stars' only choice was to make a weapon powerful enough to slay even the strongest of beings.

Of all the Stars that were assigned to create a weapon that could kill a Primal God, The Da'at assigned this role to Araphel of the Malkuth-Locrian tribe. Araphel would begin work on this weapon, experimenting with thousands of metals and materials that were found not just on their new home, but all of the realms along the Yggdrasil. Eventually he would settle on two distinct materials: Urim and Thummim.

Urim (Light) served as the spirital element of the Gamma Knife, allowing for it to pierce a majority of magical barriers and defenses. The Thummim (Perfection) served as the physical element, tethering it to not just the physical realm, but to whomever would wield the weapon. With both of these combined, the blade was already extremely powerful. It did not stop there, however, as Araphel went a step further. He would ascend to the ★ that gives the Blackstar it name, and drop the blade deep within it. With the heavy distortions of times within the ★ in account, the Gamma Knife would sit there for thousands upon thousands of years inside, drawing from the immense energies that resided within the ★. FInally, it was compelte, with Araphel taking it and presenting it to The Da'at.

The Gamma Knife completed, Araphel was instructed by The Da'at to give it to a warrior whom he felt would best uphold the will of the Stars. As such, he entrusted it to his student: Colossus. Colossus would use the Gamma Knife to slay hundreds of Primal Gods, with him absorbing their near-immortal souls with each one defeated.

Eventually, Colossus would go mad from the power, using it to go on and slaughter thousands of innocents across the realms, only being stopped when The Da'at stepped in, slaying him and locking his soul in the Echoplex, draining all of the souls he had taken and dispersing them across the heavens. Araphel, who was already struggling from his ambitions and the guilt, would snap, throwing himself away into the darkest parts of the realm, taking the Gamma Knife with him.

The next time Araphel was seen, he had become something else entirely. His form took on that of a massive moon made of Stone, Metal, Edenite, and flesh, having transformed himself into a weapon of mass destruction, powered by the Gamma Knife. In his grief, he would use his newfound powers to slay as many as he could, destroying thousands of Primal Gods and the lives of hundreds of Stars, seeking revenge on the realms for the death of his student. He was only stopped when the Keyholder Caelum Demeter entered the moon and went into its depths, taking the Gamma Knife out and damaging the moon immensely with it.

With Araphel defeated, The Da'at were left with no choice but to place him somewhere far out of reach from any of the realms, in a place where few would think to reach for him, and where few could suspect what his ability was. Rather than send him to the Echoplex, they opted to place him within Earth's realm, having him orbit the planet Jupiter. To maintain this moon and to keep watch on him, Araphel was Chirally Locked to a Scribe. From that time forth, Araphel was renamed by The Da'at, referring to him as ARCHITECT.

That day, the Gamma Knife was drained of most of it's power. Yet, it was still a powerful weapon, one that could easily tear through hundreds of combatants and beasts with ease. With this in mind, it was feared that the Gamma Knife would be used once again to threaten the realms. And thus, the Stars locked it within a Vault on Silver Mt. Zion, hoping to ensure that it'll always be under lock and key, in a place that few can access, in a place that continually alters its location.

It was this way for eons, until long after the Stars had left the realms thanks to Götterdämmerung. Silver Mt. Zion was abandoned for ages, and all that was left were echoes and memories of a time that has long since passed. It was at this time, when an elf known as Iris Nox would enter the vault and obtain the Gamma Knife. Now, she uses it to ensure that no one can stop her in her goals of spreading chaos across the realms, bringing down governments and authority with fury and hate not unlike that of those who wielded it before her.

Well, that's a terrifying weapon. And it's now on the loose? Yikes.
