Elliot Jacques
Elliot was the only child of the royal family in the Free City of Xocrin. The family was well-liked, known to be generous with their money, and it was likely they would lead the nation to prosperity. Unfortunately, Xocrin was the location of the fissure that released the Risen. All of Elliot's family died, and much of his nation, too.
After Elliot escaped the Free City and settled at a northern Maresian island, he was raised by a surviving group of his butler and some servants from Xocrin. Impacted by survivor's guilt, Elliot swore he would somehow take back his homeland and trained intensively for years.
Three years after he lost his home, the early Legion made its first attack on Meletnok, inspiring the world at large. None were more motivated by this event than Elliot. Seven years later, he is now a recruit under the mentorship of Keona after placing first in his bracket in the Prospective Rookie Tournament.

General Physical Condition
All around, he's as fit as possible from his training. Due to a lack of real experience, however, Elliot doesn't know what to practically do in a real battle, even if he has the traits to act.

Elliot usually wears the Legion uniform to its fullest extent, completely buttoned, but beneath the collar is a necklace with his family's crest.

Personal history
Elliot was born as the heir to the Jacques family in Xocrin. As was his family, he was well-liked by the public and was to be raised with utmost humility and grace. His parents, the most attentive to their nation in the history of royal families, had garnered so much public support that their suggestion to dissolve the royal family was widely disliked by their people. Thus, they continued to rule and had Elliot in hopes of passing on their values to someone who would use power to benefit his subjects. They were not a powerful family by any means—they had no magic and lacked physical strength, but they got their nation on one page. That alone made them untouchable.
All of this was uprooted when Elliot was seven. One early morning, a fissure erupted in the city of Xocrin, and the Risen emerged. His parents stayed behind to try and save their people but sent Elliot away in a carriage manned by a few servants. The rest of Xocrin perished, and soon, all of the nation's territory had been pillaged.
Elliot, from age seven, was then fueled by rage. He wanted to take his home back. He felt he had to make up for running away, despite it not being his choice. Until he could join the Legion, he trained as hard as he could. Whenever he wasn't learning, he was training.
As he joined the Legion, Elliot was quickly assessed as one of the recruits with the highest potential. He entered the Prospective Rookie Tournament and dominated his bracket, gaining the attention of Keona and becoming one of her only two students ever.
Education
His education was only ever briefly in Xocrin. Most of what Elliot has learned is from his servants after he was relocated to a Maresian city. He has a basic understanding of Veilinian history, language, and math.
Mental Trauma
As he made his way out of the city of Xocrin, Elliot saw many die to the Risen. The sight of this, and the fact that all he could do was head south, have remained in his mind for every moment of his life.

Motivation
Elliot prioritizes reestablishing the Free City of Xocrin above all else. He views this as his life's purpose, but he realizes that he can't do it alone, so he's willing to be a part of the Legion's journey even if they start in the South.
Outwardly, he will act as if he wants to get there so he can rule over it as he was born to. That isn't the truth—he feels indebted to his parents and those that died without him. He has no interest in ruling, only giving back to those that he believes died for him.

Social Aptitude
Elliot has no intentions of getting socially involved with anyone, especially not anyone in the Legion. He pushes others away, hoping never to lose anything again in his mission, making others dislike him as they don't know why. He has no issue ignoring people if they do not contribute to his motivations. That said, he is very socially intelligent and observant. If he were not so obsessed with his goals, he would be an excellent leader and centerpiece of a group.
To authorities, he has no issue bowing his head. He believes they deserve respect, especially those in the Legion who got where they were by defeating greater enemies. He will only intentionally push away those he views as his peers.
Wealth & Financial state
He was left with only enough wealth to live for a bit when he left Xocrin. At the moment, he has nothing, and plans to live solely off Legion accommodations.
