Sorcodia
Structure
Sorcodia's organizational structure is very hands-off. Every settlement is ran by elected officials, with federal laws being relatively limited. Elected officials instigate their own laws and appoint sheriffs to handle and enforce them.
Culture
Sorcodia’s society is more egalitarian than the others, with people valued for their skill rather than birthright. It is a land of duels, where disputes are often settled at high noon, and lawmen struggle to maintain order in a society where personal freedom is highly prized. In Sorcodia, one should know the land, laws, and how to have a quick hand.
Assets
Sorcodia's best asset is its industrialization. Having been the inventors of firearm technology since old Fanalia, it has many major gunsmiths and factories creating plenty of weapons and equipment. Thanks to the import of Forza Crystals, Sorcodia managed to build its own national railway.
History
Just like its neighbors, Sorcodia's history as an independent nation began soon after the death of Fanar the Unifier. Sorcodia valued for individual freedom, hence why it adopted a relatively weak federal government system. For many years, Sorcodia attempted to just mind its own business, letting its people live off of the rather arid yet somewhat farmable lands. Conflicts were rather frequent though, as Estellia and Whelliston have been accused of tampering with trade and transports.
In 545, Sorcodia joined New Fanalia under the leadership of Marshal Niković. Sorcodia enjoyed the relative peace of not needing to deal with international conflicts. However, when the Marshal died in 585, Sorcodia quickly broke free. Its decentralized system is now at a bit of a crossroad. Some say that Sorcodia should go for the gold, while others say that Sorcodia should only try to defend itself and its independence...
