Nutheren
Structure
Nutheren's structure as a country is relatively decentralized. Each settlement is ruled by Jarls, elite warrior leaders who make decisions within their own select offices. While the country does have a capital of Snovhit, the central capital has only slightly more power than the local Jarls and their settlements/clans.
Culture
Nutherenians value strength and survival as a core value to have. The colder weather of Nutheren ensures that everyone pulls their own weight to make sure everyone survives. Threats are a plenty in this northern country, and so is the need for fighting prowess.
Assets
Nutheren's assets are somewhat lacking when compared to its neighbors. They are not as industrialized and they are landlocked with no navy. However, due to their practices of resourcefulness, they know how to make do with what they have. And of course, successful raids against whomever they set their sites on will always lead to great acquisitions, be it weapons, supplies, etc.
History
Nutheren became its own independent nation in the year 327, soon after Fanar the Unifier died. From then, Nutheren remained as an independent nation of warriors until Marshal Nikovic reunified the subcontinent in the year 545. While under unification, Nutheren was able to catch up on the technological aspects that had been taking the world by storm.
As with all the other Fanalian nations, the country would soon begin planning a scramble for power after Nikovic's death in 585 after 40 years of relative peace.
Military
Nutheren's military is led by its many Jarls. Each settlement has its own group of warriors to attack and defend whenever the time calls for it. Berserkers are their most prideful warriors, being able to charge into battle while tanking surprising amounts of damage.
