Green I

First planet of the Green System.

Green I, contrary to its name, is a very hot lava planet and as such takes up a mostly red and orange colour. It has a thick atmosphere, from which a large amount of green light from the star reaches the surface, penetrating the many clouds during day. Some green particles of some dust material can sometimes be seen in the atmosphere, which also gives a highly eerie feeling to people on the surface. It is thought that the Green star has some other feature which is unknown, due to several strange features such as this.

The Hyperion Federation has taken interest in this world, to study the effects of the Green star on this lava planet. Strangely, there are significantly larger deposits of radioactive elements on Green I compared to other lava planets, though the normal high content of valuable metals is present as well, and this metal has become its primary export.

Some small colonies were established on this planet despite the conditions. Many people come to experience the 'green sparks', as this phenomenon seems to be completely unique to this planet (though other strange green phenomena are observed on other planets in the system). As it is a lava planet, it is very hot so any peoples that go outside would need to wear some significant protection device, keeping them cool on such a hot world. With advanced QEN technology this should be easy, and the person could even swim in lava pools safely but this is rarely done due to the very high viscosity of lava.

The planet has yet another use. There are also many laboratories on the planet which constantly monitor its weather, geological patterns and the green sparks. Their understanding of this world has improved, but these are still a mystery to the HF. Some samples of green sparking dust have even been collected, and many properties about them state that it should not glow green, but it does. Strangely, no green particles have been found on the ground.

There are several large structures on the planet as well, which somewhat resemble the style of the Green System Ring World. The structures so not look like t hey were built using HF technology. They do contribute to the eerie nature of the planet quite a bit though...

For tourists, the Green I planet is often seen as a journey for the brave. There are many inherit dangers, but there is a lot of strange views and items to see. For example, the Green I Ancient Megastructure which towers over the nearby area and is known for its excellent view.

Volcanoes are present on the planet due to a high geological activity, but the ground is carefully monitored and many measures are in place to keep citizens safe from these disasters.
