Green System Ring World

The Green System Ring World is a large megastructure orbiting the 4th Green System planet, and dedicated mainly to scientific and residential uses.

The ring world is one of the key locations of the system. It has been decorated to look like it was built from retro futuristic technology not too dissimilar from a sort of 'junkyard' aesthetic, a rather strange style to build a structure for the normally very advanced HF. The ring world still needs to dissipate heat, and that is done through massive rows of QEN heat sinks.

Despite its rather ramshackle appearance, it is actually still highly advanced internally. With antimatter reactors, Planck-Dismantlement Beams and matter plasma tanks constantly supplying the immense needs of the ring world, it has a radius of approx. 5 227 000 m, which is a significant fraction of the radius of the planet. Despite that, its mass is much lower than that of the planet, allowing it to orbit the planet. For a megastructure of this scale, there would need to be a support made of an extremely strong material that can take the immense weight of the centrifugal force of the rest of the world. The material used for keeping the ring world intact requires a significant amount of power to keep operational, so there are many redundant backups in case some fail. These would then be repaired using the same replicator nanobots that the HF uses to repair and build virtually any item. It has a population well into the billions but despite this there are still a large number of empty spaces that are relatively unused. These are taken over by artificial ecosystems and wildlife for people to enjoy.

There are also some data centers on the planet. Some of them are constantly monitoring the star and storing massive techprints of the star at the cost of an immense amount of storage space, so the HF has a pretty good understanding of the star.
