  The Seven Heavens are the radiant pinnacle of Lawful Good: goodness shaped by law, justice tempered with mercy, and virtue proven through service. Souls arrive at the surf of a silver sea and climb, layer by layer, toward a summit no tongue can fully name. Nothing here is easy; ascent demands growth, repair, and responsibility.  
Afterlife
Worthy souls arrive as lantern-like petitioners, kindled by their best intention. There are two ways to ascend the spiritual levels of Celestia:
  1. Personal Ascent: layer-by-layer growth through trials of character.
  2. Under a deity’s patronage and Zaphkiel’s Warrant: a vow of heavier service freely taken for swifter elevation (never bypassing growth)..

Pilgrimage: Strength is yoked to protection; banners only rise to shield the weak.  
Venya — The Pearly Harmony (Virtue in Common Life)
Essence: Orchards, rivers, villages where goodness is a habit, not a spectacle.
Notables: Xiranthador, the Pearl-Scriptorium (Erathaol’s suboceanic library), councils of mutual aid.
Pilgrimage: Souls practice steady kindness, learn to keep promises in small things.  
Solania — The Crystal Heights (Duty and Self-Purification)
Essence: Cloisters, bell-towers in the mist, mirror-lakes under snowfall.
Notables: Pilgrim cathedrals tended by Pistis Sophia, valleys of the Four Trials (Temperance, Equity, Prudence, Valor).
Pilgrimage: Let go of grasping; take up truth; become quiet without becoming cold.  
Mertion — The Platinum Colloquy (Valor and Remembrance)
Essence: Reliquaries of the honored, hospitals, debating halls where mercy is codified.
Notables: Emperea, City of Tempered Souls (Raziel’s seat), the Platinum Palace of High Remembrance (archives of valiant mercy).
Pilgrimage: Zeal is tempered at a bedside before it bears a blade.  
Jovar — The Glittering Administration (Order and Envoyship)
Essence: Jewelled avenues of record, appellate courts, ministries that choreograph aid.
Notables: Yetsira with Pax Exaltea (Vanguard) (Sealtiel’s fortress), envoy colleges; registry of interplanar accords.
Pilgrimage: Learn to keep watch without growing hard; to keep records without losing heart.  
Chronias — The Illuminated Summit (Ineffable Union)
Essence: A flattened plateau, a golden wall with a gate that never closes; beyond, a garden no one describes the same way.
Notables: Some whisper of a colossal fruit-tree; others of an empty throne; all agree the air tastes like forgiveness. Zaphkiel presides unseen.
Pilgrimage: Those who pass within do not return to tell; their names are remembered in the way the light falls.

History

When the multiverse was first created, before any mortals had yet died, Mount Celestia had no archons. The first seven martyrs of law and goodness whose souls arrived from the Material Plane were transformed into the plane's first archons and mandated with the role of ruling its seven layers for eternity. The seven martyrs and their successors continued to rule Celestia as the Celestial Hebdomad.
