Library of All Knowledge
Ervenian Era, 1051 AB
The Library of all Knowledge is a twilit sanctuary where scholarship and celebration share the same breath as the joint divine realm of Alpaida and Adis. Set in Brux, the dusk-lit second layer of the Beastlands, its colonnaded stacks open into amphitheatres, copyist cloisters ring dance-greens, and reed-mapped canals carry soft lantern-mists between wings. Here, a red sun forever kisses one horizon as a low half-moon answers on the other; debates are sung before they’re writ, and every manuscript has a margin wide enough for joy.
Customs and Laws
The scriptorium is open to all who enter in good faith, anyone may read, listen, or copy freely, but hoarding pages or silencing a voice is treated as theft from the commons. Debate must be grounded in sources, whether lived or written, and interruptions meant only for mockery are regarded as vandalism of the record. Those who damage a text or performance through carelessness may seek mercy by restoring what was lost: illuminating, binding, tutoring, or funding renewed access. Disputes are settled first in chorus, with case, countercase, and footnote sung aloud before wit or arms are tested. To burn books, break instruments, or coerce forgetfulness is considered sacrilege; all correction must be additive, never destructive.Geography
The Dusk Colonnades ribbon through coppiced beech and silvered birch, where shelves grow like bark and lantern-moss marks the indices.
Scriptoriums of the Open Air roof themselves with woven boughs; glass wind-walls catch notation and star-charts as if they were dew.
The Chorus Courts are amphitheatres at creek-edges where argument is sung before it’s copied; stone acoustics carry a whisper to the last bench. Mapery Terraces climb a gentle bluff, each level a living atlas—reed-beds form rivers, sand-trays hold shifting borders, and wind-harps chart prevailing songs.
Ink-Run Canals, dark, sweet water that will not stain skin, ferry skiffs between wings, reflecting rubied sun and pearl moon together. And everywhere, Brux’s mists thread the stacks, softening footfall and temper.

Travel and Access
A quiet aisle opens when one speaks a truth learned at cost, leading to the needed shelf, or to sister stacks in Ysgard or even House of Nature. At the close of a well-won festival, stone risers can ripple into stairs of song, carrying celebrants on the beat to a fjordside pavilion of Adis. Behind the reference rotunda lies a vellum veil that thins into Ioun’s domain, where librarians of both realms share a bell. Branch-arches and fog tunnels drop upward into Krigala or downward into star-spun Karasuthra, though returning requires a different seam. Silver beeches, lightning-scarred oaks, and leaning hollows serve as tree-gates, some leading to Arborea, others to Elysium or the Outlands' Faunel. Even the ink-dark creek canals may, when guest-right has been freshly honored, slip into long calm reaches that join the River Okyanus itself.Inhabitants
The Great Index
A living concordance tree whose leaves are tabs that point, kindly, to the next shelf, teacher, or door.Rotunda of Echoes
A domed hall where finished tales are sung; the room returns a harmony only when the account is whole.Mapery Terraces
A living cartography: reed-rivers, sand-coasts, and wind-harps; chart a just route and the terrace opens a short path.Scribe’s Canal
Ink-dark water plied by whisper-skiffs; pilots recite donors’ names as they ferry readers between wings. The Lyric Forge
Adis, bright anvil where instruments and pens are tempered on rhythm; a good performance here mends a cracked bow or dulled nib.The Lantern Walk
A misted promenade where petitioners of both powers stroll at dew-bell; many an oath of collaboration is braided into its rail. The Margin Gate
A vellum veil leading to Ioun’s House of Knowledge; ring the shared bell with both ink and song to pass.Localized Phenomena
Sometimes a breeze scatters loose marginalia through a plaza, each stray citation sticking to bold claims until they are proven or withdrawn.
If a page is touched with spite, soft gray moss blossoms over the line until confession and correction transform it into gold filigree.
On the upper walks, long shadows and heat-haze distort distance; only those who move with patience in the fog-lift shoulder hours find their way true.
Rarely, mortai faces appear in the high naves, and false witness spoken at the chorus-flats may draw the terrible roar-and-anvil, a leonine peal and forge-boom that ensure only truer words follow.
At times, whole districts slip into revel tide: festival springs unbidden, joy-magic runs strong, and fear falters; to end it by force risks censure under guest-right.
Divinations that seek sources, causes, or truthful memory shine with clarity here, while omens that promise easy erasure blur into uncertainty.
Casting magic while singing, annotating, sketching, or setting type steadies the mind, and observers perceive such benign workings as part of the rite. Messages, protections, tongues, and courage-chants tied to an oath and performed on stage or in the scriptorium travel farther and last longer.
Spells of healing, reconciliation, restoration, and beautification flow easily, while slavery bindings, fear-dominations, and forced erasures strain or fail. Way-walks and teleports keyed to a stated purpose and time arrive with uncanny precision, while casual flits tend to meander. And those who teach from honest failure find their hands steadier, their memory keener, and their students luckier when they face similar trials.

| Alignment | Good, Mildly Chaotic |
| Magic | Divinations for knowledge/context, linguistic and creation magic, perform-tied effects seat naturally on stages are enhanced.
