Yanu Primer

The World

The world of Yanu is one of magic and fantastical beasts. It is a shard within the greater multiverse, to which you can navigate via this worlds homepage, there you can read more about shards, and the multiverse's guiding principles, universal gods, and things like that. This world focuses on its own internal matters.

Magic

This worlds Magic system is varied and intricate, and consists of three main stages through which people progress as they improve and develop their skills. This is the main magic system for most people of the world, but not for all.

Races

There are many races, and they can be devided into tow main groups, The Corporeals , and The Mystics. The coproreals are the younger and more modern of the races, including the Elves , Dwarves , and Humans , among others. The mystics are older, and much longer living, and include races like the Dragons, Fae, and Fairies.

Gods

While this worlds orignal creator is Yanu, he has been dormant for a long time, and the people don't actually remember him very well, which is why most people have since developed their own religous intepretation for the worlds origin. The greatest remnant of this worlds divine are the Ynue, dark entities that almost all religions agree are evil, banished from this world by whatever deity they adhere to.

Still, the Ynue affect the world, they attempt to spread the influence by recruiting followers, often tempting them with promises of power, glory, or justice.

Continents

There are currently three main continental regions and one archipelago.

Veskar is the main contninent where i worldbuild, and is by far the most well developed, it is home to the above mentioned elves, dwarves, and humans, as well as the decendants of elves, Orcs and Goblins.

Armir is a newer continent which still needs a lot of work, it is home to Felmen, Nalsai, and the Baskth, races of my own design. The people of Veskar only recently discovered Armir, and are still figuring things out.

The Mystic Lands consists of two main landmasses and an archipelago between them. It is named such because no corporeal races are native from here, and it is entirely inhabited by mystics.
The northern landmass is called Anyang, and was the first to be discovered. The southern landmass is called Gitan Ak, it was discovered later and is also referred to as Titan, referring to the strange and colossal creatures that have been found there (Titans ).

The Naenian Archipellago is a solitary collection of islands far from any of the main continents, and there is still a discussion about what continent it truly belongs to. It is home to a strange, magical phenomenon and a powerful entity that names itself Skellekul.
