Chronicles - Early Veskar

Timeline

This is the rough timeline starting at the inception ofThe Corporeals, and ending at the invention of Bronze.

Take in to account that this are lasted a very long time, and this is only a rough approximation, the time between snapshots may be hundreds if not thousands of years.

Creation

in the beginning, the races were each created into the world, on Veskar, these races were the Humans , Elves , and Dwarves, and each pf them quickly spread in their respective locations of origin.

The dwarves and humans, due to their northern origins, quickly moved south, to a kinder climate, but the Elves stayed in their home region for a long time.

Mystic years

In these years, The Mystics still outnumbered The Corporeals , they interacted with them and taught them how to use magic.but as time went on, and the humans multiplied, their numbers quickly outgrew that of the mystics, and it wasn't long before the first conflicts between them broke out.

The humans flooded into the forest, colonizing it, and ridding it of Spriggans and Ents, driving them to the edges of the woods.

The dwarves took to the mountains, and the plains, where they could build from stone, and grow hunt animals.

The elves expanded slowly, sticking mostly to their river, where they could fish, but they also discovered the many edible plants that their jungle had to offer, they took an especial liking to the fruits growing on the trees.

Early Stone Age

The elves made an effort to explore their river, but quickly found that it wasn't eternal, there was an end to it, a place where it flooded into a seemingly endless body of salt water, they tried to row across it with their river barges, but quickly found this not only pointless, as the stretch of water proved too great. but also quite dangerous, as their boats were not made for the sea.

The humans and dwarves shortly encountered each other, the first tribes that met, did so with curiosity, and both at first, did not feel the need to oppose each other, although disputes over territory inevitable broke out.

However, the dwarves, ultimately, had to cede the forests to the humans, at least for now.

Curious elves improved their barges, and made it across the serpent sea, to a new land mass, where there found a whole new world open up to them, other elves, took to the land, and crossed the Caraethina Highlands in search of new lands to settle.

The Split

due to the geographic distances that the spreading of people created, many of the races diverged into separate ethnic groups over time, the first to whom this happened were the elves, as those who crossed mountains, or ventured to a new landmass became separate from those living on the ancestral homeland. Their appearances started to diverge during this time, and even linguistic differences became apparent.Later there were the humans, and those that now ventured south, to make a life on the plains, became what would be the Proto-Yavinians, the ancestors of many of the western humans today.only the dwarves stayed homogenous, staying on their native lands, not for a lack of trying, the humans simply proved too capable of defending their forest.

Elven Explosion

While the dwarves turned inward, and the humans were busy domesticating bison , the elves expanded, they sailed across the seas, and discovered many new landmasses

it is also during this time that the distinction between Wood elves become truly big, this is also when a number of groups of these wood elves cross the dark forest region of the caraethina, and settled the eastern parts of the forest.

This is also when the first of the elves settled the south side of trianmye, and these populations would later become the Cliff Elves.

Blood Born

It was during these years of plenty that the first Vampires were created on Veskar, by Mallakar.

This event went largely unnoticed by the world at large, and rather, a much greater event were the first Yavinian invasions of the Marnwood, which were only partially successful.

This led to the decimation of many tribes, but the ones left behind were stronger for it, and the elves survived with a stronger hold on their forest than ever before.

it was also during this time that the first humans ventured in the harsh and windy Rend, and they also started taking to the seas, and colonizing the southern isles.

And the elves first ventured into the black mountains now known as Black Rock, Where they would eventually become the Mountain Elves.

Marn Retreat

Sometime during the middle iron age, the forests that had then covered all lands south of The Yavin River started to retread, it is unknown what caused this, but this caused a devastating disruption in the homeland of the elves, and allowed to humans to venture further south than ever before, even tho the elves were still dominant in this region.

The weakening of the elves indirectly strengthened the humans and allowed them to reach even into forests themselves.

They were even able to cross the elven fields and made it the yet another new land, untouched by others, the Blood Marshes, the elves saw this as the end of the world, but the humans saw this as a new opportunity.

The East

The humans of the blood marshes developed into the Khellan ethnicity, and some of their number moved further east, to the forest of what would become Yeno, in the distant future.

The islanders and rendish became distinct enough to be considered their own culture. The islanders would quickly become completely their own, with their sea-faring life, and islander culture becoming more and more distinct from the mainland.

The Rendish became a mix of Early Yavinian and Dendorian cultures.

Orcs

Through the power of the Ynue, the mountain elves were turned into Orcs, and while this was happening, a population of western Khallans, crossed the black mountains, and formed a new cultural group, the Maizou civilization.

The Aneira, also fist showed up, forming a tribal group in the far east, this transition was marked by them starting to focus more on ancestor veneration.

Eastern Explosion

During this time, the eastern cultures spread rapidly, the Maizou entered the highlands, and the Aneira colonized much of the northern desert.

The Khellans kept exploring and colonizing their marsh, ignoring the rest of the world.

The Bronze Age

During the final years of the Stone Age, most of the world had been properly settled, with only the most distant parts having been left behind, or ahead, depending on how you look at it, as well as of course, reianmye, where many had attempted to settle throughout time, but non ever would do so successfully.

The discovery of bronze by the dwarves would be the beginning of the end for the stone age, and it wasn't long before all major civilizations gained access to this new, vital resource
