The Inner Planes & Realms
The inner realms consist of the six Elemental Planes (The Realms of Air, Earth, Fire, Metal, Water, and Wood), The Energy Planes (the Vitality Plane and the Void Plane), The Mortal Realms (Midrealm, Overrealm, and Underrealm), the realm of Templum, and the transitive Ethereal Plane.
At the moment of the First Work, the inner realms consisted of only the elemental realms and the energy planes. The Gods of the Second Work drew elements from the elemental realms to forge the Mortal Realm, which latter became Midrealm, Overrealm, and Underrealm due to the inflence of the energy planes.
The Ethereal Plane developed naturally as a direct response to flow of positive and negative energy throughout the Mortal Realms. The realm of Templum was created by the goddess by the same name to watch over the mortal realms.
The Inner Realms are seperated from the Outer Realms by the Astral Firmament.
