The Energy Planes

The Energy Planes are fundamental planes similar to The Elemental Realms. They are not, however, elemental realms, nor are they considered realms at all, on account of their unsuitability for beings of any kind to dwell within them for any period of time.   The Vitality Plane is the source of vital energy (also called positive energy) throughout the cosmos. It is responsible for the construction of mortal souls and it's energy is channeled to heal the injured and harm the undead. In direct contrast, The Void Plane is the source of void energy (also called negative energy) throughout the cosmos. It is a key component for the cycle of mortality, as it saps the life force from mortal souls over time, maintaining the balance of energy throughout the realms. It's energy can be channeled to harm the healthy and raise the dead.   No creatures are known to originate from the energy planes. Travel to these planes is extremely difficult, and travel within them even more so. It's believed that the raw power of the energy planes is so great that they would even destroy the immortal soul of a greater deity in a relatively short period of time without adequate protection.
