Kampl

Kampl, a male Brentaalan Human, was a long-term crewmember of The Crimson Storm. Wav'Vijiod and Kokomi Teruhashi hired the former mercenary as extra muscle and Kampl remained one of the Crimson Storm's most capable fighters thoughout it's evolution. Kampl had a light skin tone, blue eyes. a square jaw and well-defined cheekbones.  

History

Leaving Home

  At age 23, Kampl was still working for his father on Brentaal III. One day when tending to the farm at his family home, he noticed a figure limping up the horizon. When Kampl walked up to investigate, he found an injured female Dressellian wearing an ash-burned and slightly tattered fighter pilot's outfit. The woman introduced herself as Asallia. She explained that her ship had crashed and that she had been walking for over a day, at one point needing to fend off a pack of Kakjars (Aggressive mammals resembling cayotes).   Kampl suggested that they go to his house and get her patched up although she seemed reluctant. Eventually, Kampl persuaded her to take shelter in one of the sheds and he brought food and medical supplies for her. It didn’t take him long to find out why she was so reluctant to meet more people. The next time he went to town there were stormtrooper squads searching the area for rebels. Despite the danger to himself, Kampl continued to house Asallia.   After five days, however, she was discovered by his father Starrm who was much less accommodating of outsiders, especially non-humans. Kampl managed to persuade his family to not report her and that he’d make sure she was out of their hair soon. The next day Kampl went to town to try and organize a discreet way of getting her off-planet since the stormtrooper presence had lessened by them. But as Kampl was in town, he noticed a tie-fighter squadron flying overhead towards his homestead. In a panic, Kampl rushed home. When he arrived he found the fighters leaving the area and his mother and father standing outside the house. They had contacted the empire using their short-range communications in the house while Kampl was away. Kampl was upset at the betrayal and after a long argument, he gathered his belongings and left in the transport he had arranged for Asallia.  

The Red Flashes

  After leaving home, Kampl turned to mercenary work around the core worlds. Initially, he played it safe and stayed away from unlawful jobs. This changed when he began working for Sinto Garlek's organization the Red Flashes.  

Tiali Lo

Tiali Lo was a female Pau'an who occasionally worked for Sinto Garlek. Garlek hired Lo to steal a datapad from the office of an imperial rear admiral on Coruscant and he instructed Kampl to go along with her. They managed to get the datapad but Tiali was almost captured on the way out. Kampl went back to save her, risking the mission and his own life. Since then, the two were friends and occasional lovers.
