Coruscant, known as the galactic capital during the Imperial era, was a planet in the Core Worlds. The planet was an ecumenopolis, meaning it was completely covered by cityscape; moreover the entire planet was a city repeatedly layered over itself. The uppermost layer of Coruscant was level 5127, and its altitude matched that of the summit of Umate; coruscant's highest natural peak and only visible natural stone on the planets surface.
