Overview:   Location & Role
  • Tyokh is a major Aslan clan world in the Trojan Reach, often cited as the central hub of the Hierate–Imperium trade route
  • It serves as a key diplomatic and commercial nexus between Aslan space and human worlds.
  Tech Level & Population
  • Tyokh is listed with a high technology level (“TL E” – roughly TL 14), placing it ahead of most nearby human systems
  • Population-wise, it hosts approximately 20 billion Aslan — constituting a major demographic center
Economy & Trade:   Position on the Trade Route
  • The Hierate–Imperium route that connects Tyokh to Tobia and beyond is considered an “independent entity” by Traveller lore. Despite piracy in the Borderlands, trade is sustained by mutual dependence
  Imports & Exports
  • To Aslan (Hierate): Manufactured goods, pharmaceuticals, luxury items, high-tech arms, live animals, etc.
  • From Aslan: Rare raw materials — exotic ores, textiles, crystals, precious metals — and culturally-significant goods
What drives this exchange isn’t bulk value, but prestige and cultural cachet — a bit like importing Aslan-crafted textiles or ritual objects valued for their origin .   Cultural Importance   Tyokh is not just any Aslan world—it is the most significant Hierate core world in the Trojan Reach. It is one of the few planets where major clans come together for diplomacy, economic coordination, and even to interface with human Imperium representatives.   The world is known for:
  • Its honor courts and arbitration halls
  • Vast artistic galleries and ceremonial theaters
  • Elite dueling schools, where nobles train for prestige combat
  • Aslan Hierate Characteristics
  • Tyokh is a politically prestigious world, dominated by powerful Aslan clans. The society is heavily structured around honour, ritual, and status — especially in trade and diplomacy
Artisan Prestige Because artisan crafts are among the most respected roles in Aslan society, Tyokh’s exports often include handmade works — luxury textiles, ceremonial items, or art that holds intrinsic cultural value .   Clans of every stripe maintain embassies and delegates on Tyokh. A power play here can ripple across dozens of subsectors.   Settlements & Infrastructure
  • Tyokh is a blend of ancient tradition and high technology. Its cities are marvels of Aslan engineering — towering pyramidal spires, ceremonial stone plazas, and sprawling clan estates dominate urban skylines.
  • Khae’o Port: The world’s largest city and orbital anchor. It houses the Highport, Aslan consulates, and enclaves for human merchants under strict behavioral codes.
  • Sukhyo's Ring: A defensive belt of orbital platforms and shipyards that service Aslan warships. It's part of the Naval Base Tyokh — one of the Hierate's largest.
  • The Dueling Grounds of Kehsei: A sacred savannah where Aslan nobles gather for rites of combat, politics, and inheritance.
High-speed maglev trains and gravrail systems connect city-states, with agricultural zones and clan territories sprawling outward. Aslan grav-fighters patrol the skies, and AI-augmented drones monitor border violations.   Military & Starport
  • Tyokh’s Type-A Starport is among the most advanced in the Hierate. It includes:
  • Large orbital docks
  • Advanced traffic control systems
  • Heavy orbital defense platforms
  • High-security military zones
  • Warehousing and customs sectors for foreign trade
The Naval Base is mostly hidden behind orbital fortifications. It includes:
  • Long-range sensor arrays
  • Patrol coordination across the Trojan Reach
  • Elite Phantom Rider squadrons (Aslan jump-capable fighter wings)
Summary Description   "Tyokh is where claws are sheathed, and blades are bared only in honor. A world where the scent of blood may linger in the wind — not from war, but from the ancient rites of the Htyowao. Beneath its sun-streaked skies, nobles barter land and legacy as merchant-vessels hum through its vast highports. No other world in the Reach speaks so loudly in both honor and influence."

Geography

Planetary Geography & Environment
  • Tyokh is a lush and vibrant world with three major continents spread across a mostly oceanic planet. Much of the landmass is covered in rolling plains, savannahs, and dense jungles — ideal environments for traditional Aslan territorial lifestyles. Towering mountain ranges serve as clan boundaries, while deep inland seas and equatorial rivers divide the population centers.
  • The climate is generally humid and temperate, though seasonal monsoons and seismic activity (due to tectonic stress) occur in the southern hemisphere. The thin atmosphere means most non-Aslan species must use filtration masks when outdoors for extended periods.
  • Despite the breathable air, Tyokh's native flora emits organic particulates that can be mildly toxic to human lungs without adaptation gear. Aslan physiology is naturally adapted to the conditions.
