Session 18: Into the Hirate
General Summary
The CSS Rising Shadow just as it was reaching its jump to jump had divert and go back and save Princess Rao as three Ihateisho-class Scout ships went after the CSS Starlight Regent hitting it twice in the encounter. A Corsair designated as CSS Void Serpent. commanded by Commodore Denniston also joined in the battle to protect the Yacht. Several shots were fired between all ships involved. The pilot of the Starlight Regent was trying to get to its jump point and jump as soon as possible. The Void Serpent took out one of the Scout ship in quick order as it three triple laser turrets tore into the scout ship before they even knew what hit them. The Rising Shadow did extensive damage two the second one doing enough radiation damage to the ship killing the engineer and badly effecting the two remaining crew members. The sent out S.O.S. single's as soon as they were badly damaged and feeling sick from the radiation sickness . The Third ship seeing that it was out numbered, power down its weapons and surrendered . They allowed Vitruvius and Ferus to board the scout ship with out incident. Dr. House along with Ace boarded the second ship to treat the Aslan for the radiation sickness.
- The CSS Rising Shadow took no damage during combat, but took damage while docking to the Scout ship. Was it the Alcohol, or rush of combat, or the Aslan trying to damage the ship? Once aboard Vitruvius, Ferus, and Ronin secured the ship. Then they started to interrogate the crew members. The following information was gathered.
- They were sent by an Aslan by the name of Eihei the Clever of the Tiykhisto Clan.
- They were sent to take out Kasiyl and if the princess died they didn't care.
- They had gotten wind that he was telling Drinax about the incoming invasion.
- Tiykhisto was concerned that he would find out the truth about his exile.
- Tiykhisto was sponsoring the ihatei.
Once the crew made sure that the Yacht was good to go it departed back to Drinax. The CSS Void Serpent also gave the crew another recruit by the name of Aelin who will be the crews new sensor officer. The XO Vitruvius decided to put Kharra , Ferus, and him self on the scout ship to follow the Rising Shadow . His plan is to use the ship to there advantage in the upcoming mission. The crew of the scout ship was arrested and was being taken to the low port on Paal for the crimes committed on the attacks of the CSS Void Serpent. The crew of the HSS Siyah’fao (Path Seeker) believes that there ship is going to Drinax to be added to there navy once it is refitted to human standards. The HSS Kaiyoh’rekh (Horizons Edge ) was being towed to a facility for repairs to include a good scrub to take care of any radiation residue on the ship. Both of these ships for now are being added to the BTD fleet of ships. Once the Aslan crew were safely taken to the low port the two ships made preparations for jump space and departed for the Tyokh system departing the Paal system on Tuday, 143-1106 3I
Tuday, 150-1106 3I: The Rising Shadow and the Siyah'fao arrive in the system of Tyokh which is a major trade system in the Hierate. Around 500 ships from Military ships, trade ships, and defense boats were picked up on the scanner. There were imperial, independent, and Zhodani merchant ships doing trade with the Aslan. The high port was very impressive being rebuilt by the Aslan after the fall of Drinax. The port could hold up to 150 ship on its docking bays. The high port never questioned the scout ship as it was given a dock to land on. The Rising Shadow was given instructions to included going to the Office of Foreign Access and Border Harmony for travel credentials. Ferus obviously was chosen to get the right papers and permits needed to travel in Aslan space. Kharra and him went to the office and met a female Aslan by the name of Vyo’za Heahfte’ae who was the senior port authority inspector. She was straight forward and very professional telling The crew when the ship will be inspected. She looked over the cargo manifest and ask what kind of permit was to be needed for their time in Hierate territory. After discussion with the crew on comms a 30 day travel permit was purchased plus fees for registry of the crew and the tariff for the cargo. In total it was going to cost Cr25,000.00 for the trip. For what ever reason Ferus paid for it instead of using the company account. A male Aslan by the name of Hraiy’fa Syoa’kha showed up 10 hours later to inspect the ship. Only the senior officer, one security officer, and the engineer were allow to be at the ship during the time of the inspection. The rest of the crew got rooms at TAS for the night. Some shopping was done and food eaten for a total of Cr150.00. Other crew members purchased weapons and Armor which need to be shipped to the ship for an additional Cr1,000.00 . During the inspection Oswald found favor or honor with the chief security officer. Oswald was given the following information:
- There are four leaders wanting to lead the ihatei.
- He did not know the name of the four.
- He was worried about the Tiykhisto clans because they were a rival clan to his and have been causing problems between the two clans with false accusations.
- He confirmed that the Tiykhisto clans was sponsoring the Ihatei.
- He said that that clan was old fashion and did not like the way the Ahroay’if made its profit through trade. The Tiykhisto have made accusations claiming the Ahroay’if will put trade first over territory expansion.
- Made commits that the Tiykhisto needed to be reminded of their place.
24 hours later after landing on the High Port of Tyokh both ships departed for another week of travel two parsecs away to the system of Kteiroa arriving on Thirday, 158-1106 3I. kteiroa is an arid iceworldwith negligible resoources, andis by far the most pleasant planed in the system. The other bodies in the system are still known by their old Sindalian names. There are over 100 ships orbiting the planet, Scanners pick up around 5,000 Aslan in the camp. There are six other merchant ships on the landing pads as well. The crew is met by a tall female Aslan by the name of Laer’sae Oahra’la who tells them that it will take at least two day to unload the cargo from your ship. She takes there the manifest and tells the crew she will give it back when the ship is unloaded. Berthing cost will be Cr600.00 per day. The crew is permitted to wonder the camp, but if you do be wise about it. The chief Supply officer is Utea and elderly female Asaln who runs the show in this camp. You will need to talk to her for anything leaving this forsaken place.
