Patron Mythic

Patrons are a strange sort of Mythic that manifest in the endless forest outside of the House of Sisters. They are unique in that they are only capable of manifesting fully when in the presence of a single individual. When this Newmoon witnesses the Patron's manifestation, the Patron fuses with them to create a combined Halfborn that features the traits of both entities. This connection to a unique "host" is seemingly determined when the Patron is born into existence; alternatively, it may be the existence of a compatible Newmoon that allows these Patron Mythics to be born in the first place. Either way, both Patron and host are connected together in a loop of predestination that ensures they will eventually meet and become one.   Despite technically being a variety of Mythic, the resulting Halfborn can eventually become a Witch. This ascension restores the host's original body, albeit with a few changes from gaining control over their own magic. After their ascension, these Witches have the unique ability to shift between their original form and their Halfborn form at will; a convenient side-effect of containing the magic of a Witch and the magic of a Mythic in the same body.   In a way, this process of fusion, transformation, and rebirth allows both the host and the Patron to become whole.
