The Ivory Confederation
Structure
The Confederation currently consists of nine separate ICGs that decided to come together in a military alliance. What they value most is taking useful territory by non-diplomatic methods, as that's usually easier to do than negotiation when you have the biggest spacecraft armada in charted space. As this is a confederation, they all try to work together and keep equality between themselves, but most people know that Tannhäuser is the company that actually keeps everything in order and manages most of the wealth.
Public Agenda
Their economy is actually doing really well compared to most other ICGs. Only the Bulwark Conglomerate has a more stable and flourishing economic system. This stems from how they exploit worlds and the people who live on them, which they have learned how to do very efficiently. In fact, the reason their organization's official animal is a condor is because they consider themselves the ever-vigilant guardians of the cosmos. This obviously couldn't be further from the truth, as they can be quite neglecting of their workers. Although their public image is very clearly a lie (they say their workers are treated with respect and are living the most luxurious life imaginable), no one can argue that their trade, freighting, and distribution of goods and services is efficient and provides a good lifestyle... at least for the people within their fully governed worlds.
Assets
The Confederation is a wealthy government, with the German armaments company Tannhäuser being especially opulent in its presentation. As of 2131, they have the most well-developed and technologically advanced spacecraft in charted space, though the UCS holds the title for the biggest armada. They have nine systems that are fully governed, but another nine are simply controlled and vassalized by them. These extraneous systems are the parts of space that are exploited by the Ivory Confederation, and they are the main contributors to their overall wealth in the core worlds.
