The Fractured Void

In 1964, three probes arrived in our humanity's own solar system. Within them lied great scientific advancements, proof that we weren't alone in the universe, and the entrance into a rabbit hole of harsh truths.   Now, over a century later, Interstellar Corporate Governments control large reaches of space, all competing with one another for expansion through corporate warfare. The megacorps aren't the only problem, however. Our species' benefactors, dubbed the Centaurians, have never actually been found, alive or dead. Many believe that they found something they shouldn't have and all mysteriously disappeared as a consequence, and a plethora of other conspiracy theories have now taken root.   With rumors of hostile sapient lifeforms, Earth's economy being destroyed, and a possible all out war between the Interstellar Corporate Governments, every person is worried about something. Even if no one notices that we are inching closer to the same speculated demise as the Centaurians, people still have to find a way to get by and pay their bills.   The Fractured Void is a hard sci-fi campaign setting for the survival horror RPG Mothership. It is heavily inspired by The Expanse, Outer Wilds, Interstellar, and many classic works of space horror.
