United Core Systems
Structure
The UCS is an international organization meant to band together the governments of Earth, Concord, and Cornucopia, as well as all the other uninhabitable worlds that are part of their 14 systems. As such, the elected head representatives of every government are present at parliamentary councils, and although not many laws about space and ICG control actually get passed, they mostly focus on dealing with present matters and resolving international tensions.
Public Agenda
The UCS strives to set aside governmental differences and focus on resolving conflicts outside of their systems. They've promised to do so for a long time now, though they don't exactly deliver on it.
Assets
They have the biggest combined fleet of spacecraft built for battle, only rivaled by the Bulwark Conglomerate and the Ivory Confederation. They have ground and air military forces gathered from several world governments and combined into the UCS's forces. They control 14 systems overall, three of their controlled worlds being habitable (Earth, Concord, and Cornucopia).
History
After their initial founding in 2061 thanks to whatever was left of NASA, they've interfered in the First Corporate War and completely stayed out of the second. They also decided not to participate in terraforming due to the impact it has on indigenous plant and animal life, since it was considered inhumane. Even then, Concord's atmosphere isn't made for humans, and people who live there still experience health problems and can't go outside for longer than a few hours before passing out.
