Personal history

Prince Qamron Oboror was the second son of King Durwn I and Amata Waterborn-Oboror. He was named after Qamron Osvar, the Chief Adviser to Durwn.   Qamron was brought up very differently to his brother, Nattan, as he was sent to live with Keal Julk Vet Halok in Halacat as his ward. Julk taught him the ways of warfare, especially sieges and guerrilla warfare.   Qamron later joined his namesake, Keal Osvar, to oversee the construction of the Iron Lines. However, upon Osvar's declaration of independence and the beginning of the Fourth Ferrarian Civil War, Oboror returned to Ferran's Hold to begin mustering an army.   After the Battle of Iacundar Hill and the Subjugation of the Ogres, Prince Oboror moved his army across Lake Yekar to prevent Osvar from moving on the capital. After Osvar began to attack the Hyrame's south banks, Oboror moved towards the Ford of Cessik to cross into the Coast of Grass. He set up a camp there and began razing the country to prevent Osvar from being able to keep his army in the field.   Osvar, from his base in Erdas Proker, eventually launched a full attack on Oboror's camp at the Battle of the Ford of Cessik. Oboror was defeated and the bridge at the Ford collapsed, leaving the Prince stranded and Osvar able to move freely. However, when Oboror attempted to resupply at Shir and subjugate the guilds there, they rejected him, leading to the Sack of Shir. This caused a rift between the Oborors and the guilds, escalating the conflict further.   After winter 452 PT, Prince Oboror and a coalition of other factions moved to attack Osvar in his capital at Erdas Proker. The Siege of Erdas Proker resulted in the destruction of Osvar's army by disease, but Osvar managed to escape and simultaneously destroy the coalition through deception. Oboror sacked the city but was unable to give chase due to conflicts starting out elsewhere.   After the death of his father, Qamron's brother Nattan became King of Ferraria, despite Nattan doing fairly little to help fight the war. Qamron withdrew his troops to Lake Yekar and established himself in Malburn, where he threatened to depose his brother unless he accepted to rule as co-king along with him. Nattan refused this offer, and he also refused to send money and troops to keep his brother's army in the field.   Later that year, a Branuk force, supported by the guilds of Shir, sailed across Lake Yekar and smashed Qamron's forces at Malburn. Oboror tried to escape, hiding in the Yekarian colleges, but the masters there betrayed him to protect their college, causing him to be captured. Nattan was unwilling to ransom his brother, and Qamron was hanged.
