Personal history
Dannur Tain was the Lord of Brass during the reign of King Acanth II and King Pulus I. He had a poor relation with both monarchs, as they attempted to impose royal authority on regions traditionally considered part of the Tain dominion.
During the War of the Dragon, Tain gave his support to Chancellor Bauxtice Pellon and his rebel government. Tain led the rebel forces on an attack on Duskgloam, capturing the Lord of Wood and his capital. This allowed for mercenaries from Republia to land in Ferraria without disruption. Tain then moved the majority of his forces to Irocar, where he engaged with the main army of King Pulus.
Tain was defeated in the Battle of Irocar and was forced to retreat to Glorbam, where his sister was living. However, he was unable to reach the town and was captured by Pulus' forces.
After the war, Tain was restored to his position as Lord of Brass, but his territory was vastly reduced and many new nobles were raised. Tain's surviving son, Filip Tain, resented his father for the deaths of his brother and for losing his family's prestige and went overseas.
Dannur died during the Fourth Ferrarian Civil War of old age and his son returned for his funeral, but remained neutral for the rest of the war and departed from Ferraria for the last time soon after.
