Advenopolis
Advenopolis is the capital of Othera, and the seat of Domusanc Extonas.

Regional Significance
---------------------------
Presided over by the Oratician Florian Extonas, it serves as the mercantile centerpoint of Daemorant. Foreign goods arrive in the port city Tillaeus, a mercantile settlement to the North that is located on the edge of the Trisea. While some of these goods are sold within Tillaeus, as it is the easier and faster option, clever merchants who go about acquiring the proper paperwork and prepare for the longer trip know that they will turn a substantially higher profit by journeying Southward to sell in Advenopolis instead.
There are several reasons for this:
The Northern quadrant is where the headquarters of Domusanc Extonas is located. In this section can be found the majority of high-end businesses, as well as the foreign merchants who sell their wares in the city in a subsection colloquially referred to as "The Varied Vendors". There are a few temples within the quadrant, though the majority of the city views the temples in the Southern quadrant as being more "legitimate", with those in the Northern section being generally considered to be more for a show of piety by Domusanc Extonas. Residences in this section tend to be occupied by the more affluent members of the city, particularly those with direct ties to the Domusanc, Lastly, the local offices of the Adventurer's League and the Artisan's Guild are located in this section of the city, and are the only such branch offices within Daeamorant. East
The Eastern quadrant primarily contains residential areas and local smiths and artisans. While some might have a secondary location in the Northern quadrant to sell their more luxurious merchandise, the majority of the manufacturing and craftsman's workshops are located in the Eastern section. Nearest to the Northeast and Southeast gates of the city, along the road you'll find primarily residential buildings, as well as a significant taverns and inns, intended to receive those travelling from Lucanis and Cyrancia. South
The Southern quadrant stands almost in contrast to the Northern quadrant. Not only are the most respected Temples to Alleniel, Torach, and Thaemenar located here, so too are the temporary lodgings that're provided without expense to pilgrims from other regions of the country. There are sparse few taverns in this section, and the ones that do exist cater primarily to Dwarves, who culturally consider the consumption of alcohol to be not only permissible to their devotees, but an almost ceremonious act of celebration in the wake of victory. Very few businesses can be found in this quadrant, and those that are generally are limited to apothecaries, armorers, and tailors that specialize in ceremonial vestments. These businesses cater nearly exclusively to the local Paladins and Clerics, as well as those who pass through Advenopolis on a pilgrimage or divine quest. West
The Western quadrant is primarily filled with residential buildings. Along the Norwestern road, a section of temporary living quarters and inns intended for travellers entering Advenopolis from the North can be found. This area of the city is referred to as the "Outlander District", and while it is not treated with open disdain, the local population has varied opinions on the area of the city, with some finding it an entertaining recreational area while others avoid it. The rest of the quadrant is where the majority of the population has their homes, with the density of buildings varying throughout the section of the city.
- Procuring the permissions to sell your wares further Southward than Tillaeus is no small feat, as the trade of foreign goods is strictly regulated. Many of the more well-to-do members of Daeamorant are not fond of visiting Tillaeus, as it is viewed as being a disreputable city. As such, the more affluent buyers tend to only go as far as Advenopolis, making the right to sell your wares in the city an advantageous position to be in.
- Due to the reputation of Domusanc Extonas as being the most economically savvy of the ruling houses of Daeamorant, there is a degree of prestige that comes from having the approval to sell within their capital. Furthermore, it's well known that Florian Extonas and his kin are fond of collecting foreign luxuries, and as such it's not uncommon for members of the Domusanc to buy directly from those who bring interesting products from other lands. The fact that Domusanc Extonas has a reputation for paying handsomely for objects of special interest is often reason enough for foreign merchants to want to sell their goods within the city.
- Advenopolis being the capital of the most mercantile region in Daeamorant, it should come as no surprise that the economic policies present in the city encourage fair trade. While attempting to sell anything illegal in Daeamorant within Advenopolis is almost certain to end poorly, if you're not selling contraband you can expect to receive insurance that your goods will be protected regardless of your status as a citizen. This is, of course, contingent upon whether you properly adhere to the local laws, and only sell your wares during the period of time you've been approved to sell them within the city.
- Advenopolis is also the largest exporter of Daeamorant's goods in the country, which means that those who are permitted to sell there also have the benefit of stocking up on local products that they can then take back with them to their home country. While such goods can be found in Tillaeus as well, the more regulated or valuable local products rarely make it up North to Tillaeus. While visitors to Advenopolis are permitted to purchase these goods in personal amounts, without the business permissions to buy and sell in bulk within Advenopolis one will find yourself in a great deal of trouble if they attempt to leave with a substantial amount of unapproved merchandise to be sold elsewhere.
