Joanna is the de facto head of the Temple of Thaemenar in Advenopolis
While the local temple does not officially have a head priest, Joanna's natural aptitude for management over time resulted in her adopting much of the legwork associated with representing the temple, and she is generally seen as a leadership figure among the clerics there.
Her demeanor is a bit unusual for a Cleric of Thaemenar, as she tends to be more matter-of-fact and blunt than most devotees of Thaemenar. Her piety is, however, not questioned, and her capacity for healing magic through Thaemenar's blessing is proof of this.
