Ellion Dula

Ellion Dula, the Artist's Aspect, is the large island in the middle of Nessur's Eye. It is home to Syoll's Heart, the cultural and political capital of Syoll. The Artist's Aspect is most popular among aspiring and successful performers like bards or actors, with many artistic schools, colleges, and groups based here.
  Due to its central location, Ellion Dula also makes a perfect location for headquarters or main bases for organisations, for example the Silent Shepherds or the Pirate Hunters.
 

Political Structure

Like all other aspects, Ellion Dula is divided into three holds: the Large Island in the east, the Small Island in the west, and the Heart Hold (which includes the capital and its surroundings) in the south.
  The Triad Representatives of Ellion Dula reside and work in their respective hold capitals, but tend to travel around to visit other towns in their hold. There they will often host special events such as debates, concerts, games, and a plethora of other things to attempt to win over the people. A creative and original event is often seen as a big positive for candidates.
 

People and Culture

Dulans thrive in community and are typically very social and helpful. At the same time, collaboration and support are to a certain point understood to be transactional; an act of service most often presupposes a future, more substantial service in turn. This can lead to misunderstandings when in contact with other Syollans, since sometimes it is assumed to be pure generosity that motivates Dulans.
  The people of Ellion Dula value the arts and self-expression very highly, and tend to be accepting, open, and diverse. Some other Syollans regard them as eccentric or a little strange, but others praise or even admire the creativity and liveliness of Dulan culture.
  Additionally, there are many non-Syollans living on Ellion Dula, both short- and long-term. Most of them come from the Thanbonine Isles, but natives of the Salt Isles and Sundrop Islands are also quite common. This is more common in Ellion Dula than in other aspects, partially due to the geographical location but also due to the more welcoming policies they have.
 

Travel

Travel to Ellion Dula is conducted solely by ship and airship, but is regular and accessible. The island itself has many ports and paved roads, making travel across the aspect also very easy. Aside from the standard risks of travel, it is also very safe to journey to and around. Since there are two airship docks, one in Syoll's Heart, another in Eldera, short-range airship travel is comparatively common, both for leisure and for business. For this purpose, smaller and faster airships are used, with a significantly lower carrying capacity.
 

Resources and Contribution

Ellion Dula is the only aspect besides Farmer's Triumph to be a reliable source of agricultural produce. It has a large number of farms, especially in the western half, which mainly help sustain the people with enough food. Next to this, they also have a large and active fishing industry. Next to this, the entertainers and artists trained in the aspect also count as valuable contributions to Syoll. In turn, they primarily import finished products from Amridge, Miennach, and Farathin, as well as certain raw materials.
  Additionally, Ellion Dula is the only Aspect to have a special trade agreement with the Thanbonine and Salt Isles, giving them a unique opportunity compared to other aspects. This agreement establishes a foundation for weapons and certain raw materials to be traded between the isles and the aspect.
